An excellent tienda with good, fresh food. The business is a combination grocery store, butcher and grill so the atmosphere is a little weird for a restaurant, but the food is excellent and the service is good. I eat here often and will continue to.

These are the best tacos I have had hands down. I’m positive anything on their menu is excellent!

Delicious delicious delicious. I had the pupusas and a whole rack of tacos! Barbacoa, lengua, chorizo, al pastor. I’m already plotting on my next visit!

The food is excellent, customer service on the other hand is not. The two girls at the register lack customer service. They’re rude and not motivated to take your order or help in any way (as to bring a drink you ordered after already sitting/eating). Also, if you pay with a card, ask for your receipt.

Mexican store/butcher type shop selling the obvious items. Has an indoor seating area with a TV.

We did al pastor tacos (2.99 each). Comes with onions and cilantro. You get lime slices and cucumber slices as well as two salsas for garnishing. The pork is somewhat ground and a little bland per other tacos we’ve had. Also, these are light on meat. They were ok, however, but not the best we’ve had or anything.

Also sampled their horchata. Decent version but not as sweet as others we’ve tried. Ok.

The indoor seating area was clean and well maintained. There are no issues here. Staff helping was two younger girls. No issues with service.

Solid but nothing amazing.

I’d consider Toledo’s one of the best Taquerias around town! Really good food, especially their Pupusas! Although, bad service. The Cashiers are cold, customer service is awful, and we normally end up getting charged more than what the bill is supposed to be. I was given the wrong order, and they wanted me to drive back and pay for ANOTHER 40$ order! Then the girl hung up. But the food is good, so we put up with it.

The horchata tasted watered down and too sugary. Cheap and refreshing, but not horchata.

I was stuck at Carrboro laundry mat at noon. Stopped by and had a veggie quesadilla . Excellent. We have a small Mexican restaurant in Dayton , Ohio where we had been living that was great. This place was on par. Huge serving and reasonable prices. The young gal at the register was very nice. Very good food.

No frills counter service taqueria. They were able to make us veggie burritos even though they weren’t explicitly listed on the menu. The side salad was a nice surprise that comes with most meals. All of us really enjoyed our lunch!

I have been living in Carrboro for a little over 6 years now and I have yet to find another place that offers the same authentic menu such as they do here. Excellent pricing for what you are getting along with speedy reputation. They season their meat to near perfection. That aside, for any people trying it for the first time, I’d highly recommend a steak burrito as it is large with plenty of filling inside and served with a fresh side salad. Tacos are also a safe bet if you are simply trying to sample their meat. They also serve a Salvadorean item known as pupusas; which are quite delicious and more utensil friendly.
