We grabbed a quick bite before a show at the Ryman. Their plant based options are amazing!!! You don’t have to be a veggie or vegan to appreciate them, they are really delicious. If someone didn’t tell my friend who was with me that it was chick’n, she wouldn’t have known. Well done Pharmacy Garden!

Delicious. Vegan side is separate from the pharmacy burger side, so the line was way shorter. I got the black bean burger with tater tots and a cream soda. The portions were huge. One of the best black bean patties I ever had. It was well seasoned and didn’t fall apart.

This place is located inside the Assembly Food Hall. Navigating there is always a bit of a challenge; parking can be expensive (I paid $9 for 41 minutes), and traffic in the area isn’t always the smoothest. Aside from that, once inside, the Pharmacy is separated into two different sides: the normal and vegan (“plant-based”) side – you actually order from them separately. They had a nice variety of vegan options:) Anyway, it didn’t take too long for my Fried Chick’n Sandwich and fries to arrive. It was great. It took me a second to find the sauce in the sandwich, but I found it. Not something I’d eat every day, but delicious nonetheless.

I get excited when I see vegetarian options openly embraced in popular eating venues, so I was happy to try The Pharmacy Garden. We wish we would have made a different selection. Some of the problems they have aren’t their fault – Assembly Food Hall is a stressful, crowded mess, and the workers at The Pharmacy Garden were working at top capacity and doing their best but just never had a chance to ever catch up. We waited in a long line (45 min). There were only 3 people working so one would take 3 orders at a time and then they would rush around to try to fill the order, causing a big ordering backup. In comparison, the line next door at Prince’s Hot Chicken was 15 times longer BUT it moved 15 times faster, because they had so many more workers. The worker who took our order had on gloves, which I appreciated for sanitation purposes, but then I was quickly horrified to see that he touched the food, the counter, the box of ketchup packets, the ordering screen, and everything else in between without changing gloves. The scene in the kitchen was cluttered with things on every surface and containers everywhere. I observed lettuce sitting on the floor, next to a trashcan, waiting to be chopped. I kept thinking that if the food inspectors showed up, they would be in trouble. We ordered the Pharmacy Burger, the Falafel Burger, an order of sweet potato fries, and an order of regular fries. The food was fine – just ok. A regular burger and falafel. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries. I would not stand in a 45 minute line again for this food or experience, but I also feel for the workers in that environment. (Didn’t take a food pic because there really wasn’t much to look at. )

Stopped here for a quick bite before heading you the airport because they offered several vegan dishes. My husband enjoyed the Fried Chik’n sandwich with fries. I had the Impossible Mission City burger and fries. The best part was the fries, tbh. And it was such a generous portion the neither of us finished them; can’t remember when that has ever happened! My burger had guacamole, black beans, pico de gallo, but they really didn’t have any flavor.
But if we’re ever in Nashville again we’d probably go back since we’re vegan and most places didn’t have much choice. It’s in a great location at the Assembly Food Hall (2nd floor) on lower Broadway, aka the Honky Tonk Highway.

Nice to have a plant-based option in the Food Hall! I had an Impossible Burger and tater tots. The taste was good and the tots were crispy but the bun was a bit soggy.
