Service is great, super cozy place, food is fairly priced and tasty. Drinks are also well made and don’t break the bank. Super glad I stopped in I previously though it was more of a catering and take out only place but the ambience is actually excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our experience at Bono! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends or family. The drinks are delicious and beautifully crafted, the service is top-notch, and the food… simply amazing! Every dish is full of flavor and made with love. Highly recommended—100% worth it!

I ordered 2 banda paisa and its the worse I ever had, the chef cooked with no love or care. The chicharron was not fully cooked but very greasy l, the steak was not seasoned and the meats red and hard i dont really know if its steak or not , a small kids sized portion on rice. just wasted 60 bucks on trash.

Cozy place with delicious food. I always get their empanadas with salsa verde, and it always hit. A little bit difficult to find street parking close to the restaurant but there is a parking lot (about a 5 min walk) down the street. I’ve also seen them around, especially at local community events like Festival Viva Colombia, etc… so I love that they’re engaged with the community. Would highly recommend to try out this restaurant.

I went here a couple of years ago before the new upgrade. It was good then and it’s even better now! The atmosphere is great. Service is so quick and attentive. Great waitress. The food is so tasty. I wish I could have eaten more! The DRINKS are 10/10. Soooo fun and well presented. Definitely will come back.

Tucked away on the western edge of East Boston is a lovely little restaurant covered in flowers, but design isn’t their only talent.

We started off with agua de tamarindo and agua de jamaica. Both were very sweet and packed with flavor.

First dish is Bandeja Paisa. Everything on there was great, the chicharrones were cooked perfectly, the arepa was buttery and savory, and the chorizo was amazing. I would’ve liked to see plantains on there – but it was more than enough food.

Second dish was quesabirria, it was a perfect mix of cheese and birria and was delicious, especially dipped in the birria consommé.

Safe to say I will be back here soon.

We ordered Bono catering for a large holiday party for our team – everybody has been raving about the food! The food was delivered by Fernando the owner, and it is clear he takes great pride in his business. Delivery was early, efficient, and courteous. Food was hot, packaged well, and most importantly DELICIOUS! We had pernil, chicken, chicharrones, rice and beans, coditos, maduros, and more. Can’t say enough great things. My one comment would be that the pernil came as a whole roast and we had to break it down ourselves before serving, which was not difficult since it was fall apart tender. I am sure they would break it down for you if you asked. Thank you Fernando and team, we will be a repeat customer!

EDIT: They think they can strong arm their customers into changing their reviews. Or was it me mentioning them overcharging people?

After leaving this original review for 4/5 stars over being overcharged (which apparently has been happening for awhile before I noticed), I was cornered by the owners who were quite upset and aggressive about the four stars review. The prices are still unchanged, nor is there any sign or a warning that the prices are, in reality, higher. So they kept overcharging people and continue to do so, but they do not see past me being a problem “for not talking to them first”. When I tried to say that I actually tried to talk to her when she charged me a higher price, she just kept aggressively talk over.

I thought I was being quite nice during the whole encounter, but their final “we do not need customer like you” sealed the deal.

The problem is that now I am not sure what type of customer they want: The one who does not leave honest and objective reviews (even positive)? The one who submits to their censorship and guilt tripping? The one is ok with being overcharged or too busy to figure it out? The one not knowing her rights? The true colors came off over a 4-star review. Crazy.

ORIGINAL:
The food is great and everyone is nice. The price on the menue was lower than charged, about 20%.

Great little Latin American spot!

Food: The empanadas & pupusas were so flavorful & crunchy. The sauce complimented them so well too! The tres leches is not like typical tres leches though, it was much more like a traditional cake rather than moist and soft.

Cost: Affordable. $3 empanadas, $4 pupusas, $3 rice/beans, $10-15 for meal (entree with rice/beans)

Indoor/Outdoor: indoor

Service: quick and efficient! It was not very busy when we went (Sunday around 4 or 5pm) but staff was super friendly and helpful!

Parking: street parking

Child-friendly: yes

Reservations: no

❓Recommend: yes! We would come back here again. We even took some empanadas and tacos back home because we loved them so much!

Charming place that at first appears to be a crowded take out counter, but reveals quite a few tables in the back. Service was friendly and helped answer questions. I felt like trying something different and ordered the spicy mango beverage “mangonada” with tajin. Then I got Al Pastor tacos and a coffee.
The tacos were delicious, but if onions aren’t your thing be warned they serve them generously. This place has so many choices to try I think I’ll be back-personally perhaps I’ll try something a bit less spicy next time.
