The mood here is different but similar. Let me explain, the Water Bar, Garwoods, and Riva Grill are all part of the same group. The establishments design and architecture are very similar as well as the iconic Wet Woody available in all locations.
But what makes the The Water Bar different was its location near the Sparks Marina which is a sight to see. We came for a birthday dinner around 8:30pm, and were sat outside in the breeze way. The best way I could explain it was we felt like we weren’t in your typical location in sparks I felt like we were in the Bay Area very far away from Reno.
The ambiance was incredible the food was perfect and we will keep coming back for years to come as long as they are here. Thank you for the hospitality!

Went for brunch with friends and I thought the food, views, and service were great. The brunch menu is not available to view beforehand, it’s only told to you when you arrive and the options are great, but it’s a short menu mostly with elevated options (chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, custard and berries French toast, and a couple more items that day). I like to know ahead of time that the food is going to work for the group by looking at the menu. I’ve also been here for dinner in the summertime and it’s nice dining on the patio, I do wish there were a couple more vegetarian options.

Personally, I enjoyed the appetizers more than the main dishes. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was just okay. The lobster and shrimp bisque tasted more like a cheesy soup and was salty, and the filet mignon steak was a bit tough. The service was good and the restaurant had a nice vibe, but the food was a bit disappointing.

I came here for happy hour with a group of my coworkers! Although it was a bit chilly out we sat outside. Thankfully, they had heaters near the tables which made it much more enjoyable! The service was great and so was the atmosphere. I am vegetarian so I tried the Kung Pao Tofo and was extremely impressed — it was actually probably one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had! The rest of the group had nothing but great things to say about their meals as well! Looking forward to coming back!

Jacky was our server, she was absolutely amazing pretty, funny, smart, and absolutely amazing. Best drinks in town and the best vibe. The food was some of the best ive ever had. I had the ribeye and my mouth is still watering. We also came here on a friday so there was awesome live music and prizes. Madi was hosting “fish taco friday” and ive never had so much fun, shes the best. I would reccomend this place to everyone, best place to eat in sparks.

I always come here for the Korean short rib tacos AND the excellent service. My server Thomas was so helpful and just a nice friendly guy, he really took care of my family and made sure everyone had all they needed. His attention to detail to every little thing from sauces to just remembering all our names made such a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back just for him!

Came to this spot on May 16th, and weather was perfect for patio dining. The food and drinks were amazing! I had ordered the sliders and my husband got the lunch special. Blythe our waiter, was attentive, and very accommodating with our drink orders. The location itself is great as it offers great views of Marina and mountain backdrop. Will be back if we ever visit Reno again.

This beautiful restaurant is located on the shore of the Marina. They have a patio seating with amazing view of the Marina. It walkable distance from nearby hotels. I been to this restaurant three times and was never a disappointment. The service was fast and friendly. The food here is amazingly delicious and the flavoring will bring you back to the restaurant over and over. Non of the dishes I had were bland. Very well seasoned and flavored to which everyone would enjoy. A job well done to the chef! If anyone in the area, this restaurant is recommended. I will definitely come back again!

We came for lunch during the week and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was unfortunately a bit slow but our server was really professional and nice.
We ordered a variety of lunch entrees and they were all great. Kind of upscale bar food!
The view is amazing. Definitely recommend sitting outside on the patio.

What an AMAZING restaurant! I can’t believe I have not been here. Fallon (my daughter) and her bf Tanner surprised me for Mother’s Day and brought me here. I was immediately taken by the incredible view of The Marina and the pleasing atmosphere and decor. The Brunch was yummy, (Special Buffet for Mom’s Day) and they had my Prosecco. Our waitperson, GIANNA GARCIA, took excellent care of us and had a positive attitude and kind demeanor. I was thrilled with every aspect of this place and cannot wait to go back. I felt like I was in Seattle at Cutters…brought back good memories. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to my kids for the best momma’s day I can remember. Respectfully,
