Great *local* meat and three style restaurant. It’s attached to the Starstruck Farm, a lodging, events, food and music venue at Reba’s old stables. This place is serving up great, on-site smoked BBQ. Chuckwagon Banquet Hall is one of the few restaurants offering AYCE dining. It features good down-home cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was live entertainment when we visited. Seating is on long ranch style tables with benches, not chairs. The banquet hall is located on the 83 acre farm that formerly belonged to Reba McIntyre. It has been transformed into a wedding and getaway and event venue. The restaurant is only a piece of the total attraction at Starstruck Farms.

We stopped on our way to Lexington and boy are we glad we did ! Rene was absolutely fabulous and the food was AMAZING and so reasonably priced ! We had the meatloaf and fish and the tastiest potatoes. Such a great atmosphere and the campground and barn were delightful! We will be back !

Breakfast is my favorite meal—and I’ve had it in a lot of different places — but this was, hands down, the worst experience ever.
Let’s start with the grits: completely uncooked, not undercooked ~ but not cooked at all ~ just lumpy balls of grits mixed with water, absolutely inedible. We both took one bite and pushed the bowl aside.
The bacon? Burnt to a crisp.
The ham? So tough it felt more like jerky than breakfast meat.
The waffle batter was discolored, meaning it was likely stored overnight, and it tasted just as bad as it looked.
The donuts were rock-hard.
The potatoes looked so unappetizing I didn’t even attempt to try them.
The biscuits were straight from a refrigerated can—definitely not homemade.
Even the gravy, the only somewhat redeeming item was clearly commercial from a can or package mix.
The staff was friendly but will end up discarding napkins with spit-out food wadded up within them. I know that’s a gross description, but so was the food. Gross and shockingly bad—no care, no quality.
This restaurant and farm has unlimited potential ~ a pure goldmine of creative possibility and yet it barely scratches the surface.
If you’re looking for a real breakfast, keep driving. This place misses the mark in every way possible.

We showed up 30 minutes after they opened for dinner buffet and most of the items were unavailable. They didn’t warn us that half the selections would be out. The food looked like it had been sitting out for hours, and tasted bland. Restaurant had no ac and had flies everywhere. Server was nice but it was a complete waste of money.

Yikes. First time here. We stopped for breakfast at 9:30a and there was nothing on the buffet line. Initial service to get seated was also slow. A guy overheard us and mentioned he has been waiting at least 25 minutes for scrambled eggs. There were also no plates available, only small bowls. We live a few miles off 109 and have driven past this place for years and finally got the chance to try it. We won’t be able to recommend this to visiting family, and likely won’t be back ourselves.

Absolute worst breakfast buffet we have been to. Everything except the waffles ( which were fresh because we made them !) were just awful. All the meats were of Jerky consistency as they had been in the steamer too long or were reheated. We asked for fresh bacon as opposed to bacon crumbles. When the bacon came up it was not much better as you could tell it had been fried in the deep fryer, frying the taste right out of it.
The biscuits were grainy and tasteless. No potatoes. Strawberries tasted like they were worked, sour and frothy. It was just a terrible experience. Too bad because it is close to home. Has potential with an effective cook.

Went for the breakfast buffet around 1030am today. All I have to say is wow and not in a good way. Almost everything was gone not even a piece of toast. No potato’s. I had to ask for waffle batter to make waffles. No pancakes or omelettes either. Butter and syrup by the coffee machines. Don’t get that. Best part of breakfast was my cheerios and Pop tarts. Can’t believe cereal and pop tarts cost me $16
The buffet should be labeled and lids off so you can see what’s being served. All I have to say is first and last time I will come through the doors. Really could be a nice place

The food was pre made from a can. Cold and the eggs were pre made. I didn’t know it was buffet style. I do not recommend the place. Coffee is help yourself.
