Reviews
Veg pad thai was average. A tad bit sweet and light on veges.
Veg Singapore noodles were a bit dry but good – had a curry flavor to it.
Veg spring rolls were average.
Lychee martini was really bad – very sweet and had a strong undertone.
Sake, on the other hand, was light and smooth.
As for the meal, we just ordered Chowmein and Mongolian Beef.
Chowmein: Not salty which is great but lacked flavor. Generous portion for a small size I ordered.
MB:Not salty again which I appreciated but also lacked flavor. They could’ve used a bit more soy sauce and ginger.
…update: after my 3rd, 4th & 5th time i decided on the revised stars in each category. Food is pretty consistently below avg/expectation & avg/barely meeting expectation on the best days… (pics r from #5, no deets or pics from 1st 4 times which were all to-go orders, #4 being the best of those-the fried sushi roll was actually pretty gd…sadly tho, evn 5th time the srvc was better than the food, although the food was better than most from the othr times. (Friend ordered the crab, she didnt finish barely half, what i ordered was a house salad with salmon & about half the greens were inedible/wilted/soggy/not fresh & dirty…at least there weren’t too many grounds in the coffee…)
All in all I recommend 12 Moons, as this was our 3rd experience there and it’s been pretty much the same each time in regards to quality, taste and service.
We’ve gone to the buffet a few times for Thanksgiving, and have enjoyed the meal.
But tonight we went to the 12 Moons Bistro for a meal of Asian food, and let me tell you, the meal was fantastic! Everything was made fresh with individual seasoning palates, so that each dish had its unique flavor. The portion sizes were much bigger than we expected (the “small” bowl of soup was about a quart!), and the service was excellent.
I recommend you give them a try if you’re looking for a tasty meal of your favorite foods from East Asia!
(Soup, spring rolls, fried rice w/shrimp, and chow mein w/chicken was about $50 for two people.)
The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, the seating is limited, and the wait time usually ranges from 15-30 mins. This can be a bit of inconvenience, especially during busy hours. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience despite the bustling atmosphere.
The food at 12 Moons remains the standout feature. Their menu offers a variety of fresh and flavorful options. The sushi, in particular, is always fresh and beautifully presented, with the large Sashimi being a favorite. They frequently feature specials, adding an element of excitement for regular patrons who enjoy trying something new.
A recent increase in prices and reduction in portion sizes has made the restaurant feel a bit more expensive.
The desert options are quite limited, an area where the restaurant could improve. The mango Panna Cotta, a new addition to the menu, while light and pleasant, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. A broader dessert selection would definitely elevate the dining experience.
The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 4p-10p, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday from 4p-12a. This offers diners some flexibility, especially for late night meals on the weekend.
Overall, 12 Moons remains a great option for those seeking vibrant Asian and Chinese cuisine, particularly fresh sushi. While the recent price hikes and smaller portions may discourage some, the lively atmosphere and quality food continue to make it a solid choice for a fun and flavorful meal inside the casino.
Dining in this Casino 12-Moon restaurant is liken to gambling on the casino floor. One day the food and service would be fine, next visit, it would be so hellish completely out, from missing shrimps in your order food to over cooked salmon teriyaki, undercooked and overcooked sushi rice, completely inedible chow mien poured with 1/2 bottle of soya sauce, over saltiness leaving your mouth with such bitterness, you thought you will die from eating the food… its just real nasty.
So the worse of this is that when you take a to go order, the restaurant completely refused to grand you a refund or credit, thinking you are trying to scam them off a $23 chow mien , when their cook perhaps poured haif bottle of soya sauce into your chow mien , probably in error- This casino 12-moon restaurant has a reputation of really ‘cheap skate’ attitude. So beware, dining here would be like gambling on the floor, you could fall sick from inedible food, and or go home happy striking a jackpot … enjoy your risk eating here as every gambler should not be after a stressful time on the gambling floor …. coming in to eat should be a respite … and relaxation , not another stressful encounter with managers at 120-Moon
I hope the Snoqualmie Tribal Elders are reading this review and take further action to remedy this very upscale restaurant that need 100% revamping of its management, attitude, image, food quality and courteous services
