I,ve had many hot pot places tried , this is the only one I’ve been disappointed with. First off, they don’t have enoki mushrooms, lotus root stems , potatoes etc. when me and my sister went there they just got us started and then left us right there. No one came to refill the broth, no one came to check in on us . Nothing . Later we figured out why – in the bill there’s $10 tip mandatory per person. They don’t care as you’re going to be paying the tip anyway. No problem in paying the tip but the restaurants who include mandatory tio also offer excellent service. Which people here don’t get. Also we noticed that we were there on a weekend and still surprisingly we were the only table that was occupied. The entire place is empty !!! We found out later, that people don’t prefer this place anymore. Hope this helps. There are many hotpot places guys that take just the same or cheaper than $30 per person and offer a good service . Don’t come here to ruin your mood.

The family and I have been coming to this hot pot place for years. Everyone loves hot pot, especially during cold weather, and my kids in particular have a huge appetite for it.

We usually come here when the cravings hit or to celebrate family occasions. The prices are very reasonable and generally under $30 per person. We were last here about a week ago and it was $28 per adult, while kids were $14 (half-priced). I did notice prices increased by about $1 over the past year, but that’s expected.

Another thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to dine here. We’ve come on a Saturday night for dinner without a reservation and were able to walk right in. Most of the time, walk-ins aren’t an issue, which is really nice.

A while back, they used to have you mark hotpot ingredients on a paper menu and staff would bring them to your table. Over the past couple of years, they’ve switched to an ingredient bar at the back of the restaurant where you can grab your own noodles, vegetables, seafood, and sauces. There are empty plates, bowls, and saucers available, making it easy to customize your spread. The only items you still need to order verbally are the hot pot meats, which makes the overall experience much more efficient and you can get to cooking quickly!

Here’s my favorite way to make a dipping sauce for hotpot: garlic + basic soy sauce / house sauce, a pinch of spice sauce + top with a lot of green onions cuttings. And there you have it!

The ingredient selection is decent including several types of noodles like udon, glass noodles, and ramen. They have my favorite vegetables like watercress and bok choy as well as some of my favorites proteins: shrimp, mussels, quail eggs, fish cakes, cubes and balls. There is a peanut sauce available at the sauce bar, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone with food allergies or strict dietary restrictions, as cross-contamination could easily happen with the shared setup.

One of our favorite appetizer items — which is free with the AYCE and not at the ingredient bar — is the fried buns with condensed milk. They’re listed on the menu and are absolutely delicious. We usually order multiple rounds as our kids love them, and so do I.

When it comes to drinks, everything is ordered à la carte. They offer soft drinks, alcohol, and smoothies. I ordered a mango and pineapple smoothie for $7, which was quite sizable and very refreshing. You can also order a single-fruit smoothie for $6.

For broth options, there are only two choices: a bone broth or a spicy broth. If you have kids, I recommend the non-spicy option. The broth can get a little fatty after cooking all the ingredients in it and is enough for flavor.

We came as a family of 6 and opted not to squeeze into one booth. We asked to sit at 2 adjacent hybrid booth tables and requested an additional hot pot for the 2nd table, and they were very accommodating. One of the servers also speaks Cantonese, which was very helpful for our family.

One small piece of feedback for the owners: for places like this, it would be great to have disposable gloves available at the ingredient bar. I always appreciate seeing that extra level of consideration for cleanliness.

Lastly, just a heads-up that gratuity is automatically added to the check for parties of two or more. Make sure to review your bill before adding an extra tip — unless, of course, you want to tip more.

Overall, this is one of our family’s favorite places for hot pot when we want a no-fuss, no-cleanup meal. It’s a solid experience that doesn’t break the bank, especially for large families. The fact that they focus solely on hot pot — without additional barbecue meats or grills — helps keep it surprisingly affordable.

All the ingredients were very fresh and the hotpot was tasty. The staff were very nice and laid back, as was the atmosphere. We thought the all you can eat menu was an excellent value. There’s nothing super crazy here, just a well executed hot pot.

I cannot and will not recommend this place. We barely saw our original server, and when we kept calling one, they would keep walking, pretending they didn’t hear us. The 15% tip was already built in the bill for my little family of 3 (my 6 yo daughter in the mix, 2 adults). Auto gratuity is for 6 people or more. TIPS ARE VOLUNTARY!!! Of course I would have happily tipped even with the least minimal effort given service is no easy tending, but there was none of that here! This later dawned on us for their horrible, non attentive service of why the tip was added involuntarily! No way they were giving you any of their time and day. Mind you, they are already way overpriced for what they offer (nothing special)! Don’t waste a nice night out with your family here.

The food was ok, broth was watery, but they served TONS of meat per serving. The buffet was ok, about what I see at other places. My biggest complaint was the gratuity added for 2 or more people! Then they still wanted a tip on top of that, I’m pretty sure it was the owners running things anyways.
The atmosphere was a miss too, no music on the hot pot side (oh yeah, you enter through the Mexican restaurant) and the benches were well worn.

Food quality is okay. I heard soup taste different depends on the day.. Today it taste really light.
Waiter was really nice but while we are cooking the heating table, it’s broke. It did not heat up the soup any more, we moved table middle of eating.
We moved table in front of the room and everytime people come in the wind was really cold:( did make me feel not want to stay longer..

It’s super exciting to have Chinese hot pot close to home instead of just in Chinatown! The all you can eat portions are very generous (so don’t go nuts like we did and order tons of fish/vegetables). You’ll definitely leave feeling very full. We love the nice thick cuts of meat!

The inclusion of some side dishes and a sweet fried dough was also a nice touch for appetizers/dessert.

Wonderful and attentive service with a nice low-key atmosphere = this is my our new suburban hot pot place!

Update: Have returned to Hot Pot Delight a few times now, and happy to report that the food and service are above average every time. They’ve even added a self-service sauce bar so you can mix your own sauces! Five stars as always, really love this place.

It was a great place to have a hot pot! Although they don’t have much option of soup and meats the taste was really amazing. We tried taste of both worlds and some lamb, beef and sea food. The taste, quality, quantity and presentation was nice. The option of sauces was good and very falvorful. Overall good service, kind staff and nice food.

This was probably the worst experience i’ve had in a restaurant in a while. The meat came out frozen on the plate, the stuff that you grab yourself looked unappetizing, and our server was on her phone when I was trying to get her attention. Then when we wanted to get our boba she went to a whole other restaurant to grab it. And finally they had raw chicken just laying out with the other foods. This is the worst place i’ve ever been to and I will not be returning.
