I ordered the beef and black bean sauce. Portion size was good and the flavour was on point but there was no actual meat in it and it was entirely fat. I don’t even know how you would buy a cut of meat like that. I was left questioning if this counted as a vegetarian dish. Picture shows how much fat was in this.

Best egg roll I’ve had anywhere. All the food was very good and huge portions. A bit slow because they were busy but worth the wait. No ‘cubed’ meat and veggies here – everything was made with real, fresh ingredients. Highly recommend. This is small town Chinese food at its best.

I know this is a Chinese place, but if you like a good burger you need to eat here. For $10 you get a cheese burger and fries. None of those frozen patties, these things are nice and juicy, with exceptional toppings. And get the gravy…you won’t be disappointed

I had ham fried rice, chop suey and lemon chicken. My husband had the ham fried rice, chicken balls and breaded shrimp. It was the daily special and it was $14 each. There was lots of food and we couldn’t eat it all so we had it the next day. Great food. I recommend it.

Great spot! We three were visiting from Alberta. Excellent food and service with big portions and at a good price. It has to be the place to go for Chinese food in Watrous. We highly recommend Chen’s.
