This is a perfect local drive bar. I had the catfish platter. It came out so hot I had to wait for it to cool before I could eat it. The bartender/cook was busting her behind to serve everyone. She did it with humor and a welcoming smile. The atmosphere is 100% local bar, a little dank but clean and well maintained. Next time we are in the area, we will be back.

This is the quintessential Waukegan watering hole. If you’re friendly and no nonsense, you’ll fit right in. The bartenders are great, the drinks are priced fairly, and the atmosphere is lively. They’ve got machines if you like to gamble and a ridiculously good and cheap burger.
