After many walks around Parkville market and trying many different flavors I finally pulled up on taste Mediterranean in the corner of the building.
I was immediately greeted with a smile and a nod of the head …as if to say welcome to our family. And that’s exactly how it turned out. I felt like I was dining with my friends and family in a Faraway Middle Eastern home.
I ordered the lamb shawarma over rice and sat down to enjoy a wonderful delight.
The rice was perfectly cooked and the lamb fell right off the bone with flavor and aroma.
Both the owner and his wife came out to check on me as if they were my relatives. By the time I finished, they noticed me getting ready to leave and brought me a dessert item. On them.
It was a flaky baklava with a flavor and sweetness like I’ve never had before in any middle eastern restaurant.
I walked away with a fully satiated belly, and a glowing feeling.

Let me tell you about their Baklava dessert. It is amazing. The cream Baklava is truly such a delicious treat. It really does taste like heaven. Please go have yourself a treat. The service there is amazing. They are so sweet and the food is just so delicious.

Sam and his wife are so nice and welcoming! Their customer service is excellent, and the restaurant is always clean. The chef was very accommodating to my health needs, which I really appreciated. My doctor recently put me on a Mediterranean diet, and their food has been perfect for it, fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience at Taste Mediterranean Kitchen! The staff truly felt like a tight-knit family — kind, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. Their warm hospitality made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding; my wife and I shared the lamb shawarma and chicken shawarma. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. It’s clear they put a lot of care into everything they serve. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! FYI the green mint beverage, a must try! Most refreshing drink my wife and I have ever tasted!
