Everything looked delicious as you can see in the pictures. I was looking forward to some good blue gill but it was so overpowering with seasoning in the batter I could not even taste the fish. I tried pulling the batter off but it was so hard and stuck to the fish. The truffle parm fries were good, I recommended light on the oil. Crab cakes could use crab chunks, but were good and my husband’s ribs were a little tuff but good. The Mac and cheese was very dry. Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job. So.. I don’t recommend the bluegill and the Mac and cheese upgrade.

These pictures don’t do this food or place ANY justice. Everything was AMAZING even the live band. Me and my husband are relocating to Michigan in a few months and wanted to go exploring and ended up here. It was my first time trying crab cakes and they were a 10000/10, the lemonade was great, we even got one to go and the surf and turf my husband got had me a little jealous lol but my ribs were equally amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back… For this to be a hotel/casino restaurant we felt like we were already a resident… I can’t wait to move

Service and workers were great very friendly and attentive. The food was sub par. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. The steak was overcooked “ordered medium rare” and dry not so great flavor either. Overall it was a good experience but definitely could have been better.

This place is inside four winds casino. After playing the one armed bandit (slots) we decided to have a bite to eat. The veggie wrap was so amazing that I would drive from Illinois back there just for that! The breading on the calamari was seasoned and very very tasty, we Also had the crab cakes which were good as well. The only thing I would pass on is the corn bread. It was a little too hard for my liking. My friend had the salmon and she loved that as well. We were seated immediately and the service was great.

My husband and I have visited Kankakee at several casinos. We have visited the New Buffalo location before also. We normally try to give restaurants a “3 strikes your out” approach. Kankakee in New Buffalo is on strike number 2. The online reservation is a great feature. Our server was good but seemed preoccupied with other things(the restaurant was slow at the time we ate) The food was horrible. We ordered calamari which was the only decent food we had. My husband ordered mac and cheese with chicken and it was so dry even the manager who came by said it looked very very dry. They took it back to remake it and it was barely edible a second time after 25 minutes waiting. My burger was also very dry and arrived barely warm. The fries were cold and not edible. We were both still hungry so we ordered the carrot cake to share. Definitely a pre-packaged and once frozen desert of you ask me. I’m not sure we will give them another try at the prices they charge. If our server wasn’t so nice and the calamari wasn’t the only good dish we had, it would be one star. You’re better off going somewhere else if you’re hungry!

We ordered the hot buffalo wings and calamari as our appetizers. I had the grilled salmon and asparagus for dinner. Everything was very good and everybody really liked the food. So occasionally I would return. Oh, and the service was good.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy but still took about an hour and a half to get our meals, I ordered a ribeye cooked medium, they brought out a New York strip (told me it was a ribeye) and it was overcooked. They said they would remake, which took another 15 minutes and when they brought it out it was raw. Wouldn’t recommend

I took my wife here for dinner as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the 2 hostess at the counter, which were very nice. While they were checking us in a woman, idk manager or what walked behind us telling them two to make sure they switch out servers. The two then began talking to her about so and so called off and this and that making it a very uncomfortable spot for me and my wife. That should have waited until we was done being checked in! Very unprofessional I thought. They literally talked right through us.

The online menu for this restaurant is inaccurate. Over half of the starters menu was no longer on the menu. No crab cakes, corn ribs, wings, bacon jalapeno dip….and the food we did order was just ok. The staff was really great though! Super nice!
