Absolutely love this place! The Cuban coffee is strong, smooth, and authentic—easily the best I’ve had in town. The pastries are fresh and buttery, and the savory dishes are full of flavor. The staff are always welcoming and make you feel right at home. The ambience is cozy and vibrant, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Highly recommend!

Best Cubano I’ve ever had!

I’m so glad Louisville has an authentic Cuban café. When I visit Florida, I frequent spots like this for breakfast, and it feels amazing to have that experience here. While Louisville has some great Cuban restaurants, this one offers a quick-bite café vibe serving pastries and coffee:

The atmosphere is excellent — beautiful inside and out. The bread for the Cubano is fresh-baked in house, and that’s what makes it so magical. The coffee is just as impressive.

I highly recommend this place. 10/10!

Sweet Colada is truly a special place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious with portions that never disappoint. And the coffee is easily the best in town. I’m not usually a fan of iced coffee, but their iced café con leche is so good I could drink it every single day. Honestly, I wake up thinking about it.

The new drinks they’ve rolled out are just as amazing. My favorite is the coconut mojito. Their pastries never miss, and the authenticity shines through in every bite. Sweet Colada has become my home away from home. If you’re looking for a slice of Cuba, you’ll find it here, not just in the food but in the sense of community.

First-timers should know that Sweet Colada is café-style, which means you order at the counter. It makes the space feel even more relaxed and welcoming. I can’t wait to see how Sweet Colada continues to grow.

Wow! I stumbled upon this cute little cafe while scrolling online last night. I immediately told my wife that I was going to visit and see if it was as good as it looked. I was not disappointed. Indeed, I was very pleasantly greeted by a cute looking little neighborhood cafe. Outside is colorful and clean. Inside, it was even more so. Stepping inside I was instantly immersed in the aroma of delicious coffee and sweet pastries. The cafe is very clean and the sound of soft background music filled the air just enough to add atmosphere. As I looked over the menu on the wall I was greeted by Jen, a lovely young lady. I asked for the Cubano sandwich, as I knew I would last night when I first discovered this little slice of Cuban heaven. I also asked for a beef empanada, a Papa Rellena and one of the sweet pastries stuffed with sweet cheese. As I waited for my food I downed a cafecito to brighten my afternoon and was offered a double shot of espresso to go, as I had requested my food for take out.
While I waited for my sandwich Cubano I walked thru the establishment to take it all in. What a lovely little cafe! I felt as though I was walking through their house and being served as family. My food was outstanding, the bread of my sandwich Cubano was crisp, warm and filled with delicious smoked ham and Cuban pork. My wife loved her empanada, Papa Rellana and sweet pastry, and expressed her strong desire to go back soon so she could enjoy the lovely atmosphere. Congratulations to Sweet Colada for putting together a nice cafe to share with all of us. I will definitely return often for a sampling of their other delicacies.

From the moment I walked into this café, I felt an authentic Cuban vibe that instantly transports you. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, and the staff is incredibly friendly, always eager to recommend the house specialties. The décor is simple yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee while chatting or getting some work done.

I tried the espresso, and they truly exceeded my expectations. The coffee has that strong, bold, and perfectly balanced flavor that only real Cuban coffee delivers. On top of that, the pastries and traditional sweets are fresh and delicious; you can tell there’s a lot of care and passion in every detail. Pairing the coffee with a guava pastry was absolutely outstanding.

This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and one I’d recommend to anyone looking for quality, flavor, and warm service. For a café that just opened a couple of months ago, it already feels like an essential spot in the city. Absolutely worth the visit.

I’ve been to Sweet Colada several times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in Louisville. The atmosphere is colorful, fun, and always welcoming — it feels like a little escape every time I go.

My go-tos are the empanadas and the guava matcha. Both are absolutely amazing, along with everything else. The empanadas are always fresh and flavorful, and the guava matcha is such a unique drink that I can’t find anywhere else. Their pastries and sandwiches are also fantastic, but those two are my must-haves (along with the Flan with my sweet tooth kicks in).

The staff are always amazing. It’s clear they really cares about making people feel at home. Every visit has been just as good as the last.

Between the great food, unique drinks, and warm service, Sweet Colada is a place I’m always excited to come back to.

This place is so cute! The service was great and the lady working upfront is super sweet. We had the best Cuban sandwich and guanabana juice for lunch today. For desert we had Cuban coffee which is strong and delicious, and a guava pastry. It’s not expensive at all and the sandwich itself is enough for 2 people to share. There is seating outside as well as inside. There is also an area in the back with a sofa surrounded by Cuban decor. Would be perfect to just come have some coffee, read a book or just chat with friends. I highly recommend! This is a small, local business that will definitely get my support!

Excellent place to spend time with friends. The staff is very friendly and they explained everything to us. A lot variety of cuban antojitos and everything we tasted was good. I recommend to parking crossing the street you can see a public parking so you can not stressed about finding a spot in the street.

Cuban cuisine is one of my favorites to go to. In this occasion I went to Sweet Colada and was very suprised by the experience. I love to try stamp items which says a lot about the place and the cuban sandwich is one that is very difficult to fumble. I was taken aback with how amazing the sandwich was along with the fried plantains. And to add a huge plus, the cafecito (cuban expresso) packed an amazing punch. This is a place that I would recommend going to.
