⭐️ One Star (and that’s purely for the audacity to serve this experience)

Dining at Al Medina restaurant was nothing short of a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, the nearly empty dining room on a Saturday evening should have been a red flag — but ever the optimists, we stayed. What a mistake, yet what a story.

The menu was impressively concise, perhaps because most of it was unavailable. A bold strategy — why overwhelm guests with options when disappointment can be so efficiently delivered?

We eventually ordered goat biryani, goat curry, butter naan, Hakka noodles, and chicken samosas. Ten minutes passed before anyone noticed our existence, which gave us ample time to admire the décor — a stunning blend of “budget banquet hall” and “waiting room chic.”

When the samosas finally arrived, they were served cold in the center — a delightful surprise, really. Who needs hot appetizers when you can enjoy the authentic taste of refrigerator chill? The biryani and naan carried the distinct aroma of yesterday’s leftovers, while the goat curry was seasoned with what I can only assume was pure indifference. And just in case we doubted the authenticity of the microwave experience, the loud beep-beep from the kitchen reminded us that our meal was being lovingly reheated to perfection.

Service was as uninspired as the food, marked by a rare talent for ignoring customers without ever being fully absent.

In short, Al Medina restaurant has achieved something truly remarkable — turning a simple dinner into an unforgettable cautionary tale.

Would I return? Only if the microwave misses me.

Anyone in their right mind who says this place is good is drunk, or have terrible taste buds. The food is not up to standard, the quality of food is average, customer service is THE WORST. We waited an hour for our food, just to have the curry with white rice served. While the main dishes (biryani and fried rice) was served in the end when everything was finished. The fried rice DOES NOT taste like fried rice. We asked for naan, and it was packed to go, instead of being served freshly. The waitress doesn’t know what she was doing. And be mindful that there’s literally 1 person cooking and she is extremely rude. We asked to speak for the manager or someone in charge and she came out of the kitchen speaking to us in a passive aggressive tone. Instead of listening to the customer and trying to understand where they were wrong, she kept talking back and giving us attitude. The food was late, the order of food delivery was pathetic, the taste was average, the fried rice was DISGUSTING. Please save your money, time, and appetite. First time experience and will be last. Terrible service.

Amazing Bangladeshi food. So glad we found this hidden gem. They have a great selection of traditional home-cooked offerings including all types of bhortas, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. We loved the rui maach, shutki bhorta, eggplant bhorta, choto maach, chicken curry, and the chicken kebab. Their buffet option is reasonably priced. If you want to try something other than your typical Indian fare, I would highly recommend this place.

A small buffet or order from the menu. It was more cost effective for us to order from the menu. We didn’t eat meat and got chickpea curry and naan, our friends got buttered chicken. The food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The server was very nice and sweet to our toddler. We recommend it and would go again.

Sampled the Chicken Pastry Puff, Samosa Veg, Samosa Chicken, Butter Chicken, and Goat Biryani. Everything was tasty and well prepared. The Butter Chicken portion is smaller than I expected. They also own the market next door where you can pickup fresh vegetables, dairy products, frozen items, meat, and freshly made Chicken Pastry Puff and Veggie Samosas at the register. I definitely will come back to try other items on their menu.

You should definitely ask for prices before ordering(or even breathing)in this restaurant because they’ll likely overcharge you. For example, one whole duck curry cost $150! We were a large group and had pre-ordered several items (our mistake was not confirming prices, but who would expect such ridiculous price?). On top of that, we were told one item would be complimentary, yet it appeared on the final bill. As for the food, some dishes tasted verygood, while others were just average.

All these are recent pics all the old reviews of quality or biryani I would strongly suggest give this place another try now they have authentic Hyderabadi Dum style chicken biryani and Goat biryani . It was so good I dint take pics of those . But one of the pictures in my plate has Biryanis topped with fried chicken drumsticks and chicken bone in curry are my favorites including the snacks

One of my favorite Bangladeshi restaurants. The food was absolutely delicious and great service as well! All dishes were authentic. Took the family there and they were pretty impressed with the quality. Can’t wait to go back there again!

This was fantastic food. The care and attention they take of both the food and those eating it really makes the buffet feel like you’re sitting down to a family dinner. When I went up to pay, the gentleman assisting me asked genuinely if I’d had enough to eat or if there was anything else I’d like. Seriously? I love that!

New restaurant update: We had a great experience at the new restaurant. The red is clean and very cozy. We had the Sunday buffet and it was delicious. Each dish is so good. We ate so much fish! Definitely going to come back. They take care of you.

We had a great experience yesterday. Bought a goat biriyani and mughlai paratha. Food was ready in 30-35 mins. It was burning hot. The biriyani had 4 good chunks of goat and a few small ones which were so tender. The rice was flavorful. One could easily feed 2 people. The mughlai paratha tasted good too, not too oily and felt comforting. Would visit more for sure!

Staff is super friendly!
