Driving pass I seen this establishment with Nigerian Cuisine signage. My Wife and I decided to try something new. We were greeted promptly upon entrance. We were able to choose Our table and the bartender came over to give Us Menus. She was patient and helpful as we were unfamiliar with Nigerian food. She took the time to explain and give suggestions. I ordered the Suya with jollof rice. It came out hot and delicious. The ambiance was giving black excellence. The music was playing with videos of which may have been nigerian music. The bathroom was clean. The bar was stocked with top shelf Alcohol and I ordered the Hurricane. There was plenty of dining seating, bar top seating and even lounge sections. The Manager even came to our table to ensure everything was okay with our food. Top Notch Dining.

Food is really great, the environment is friendly and clean, but the service could be better. I’d save the extra commentary because I intend to go back again and hopefully upgrade my ratings of their service. Their Nigerian food selections are on point. Food is 10 out of 10.

Laurel, I love coming here for the relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. Top 3 things I loved: 1) warm and inviting decor 2) lively music that complements the African Food Near Me vibe 3) comfortable seating that makes the dining experience enjoyable. Tarmac Lounge, Your Authentic Nigerian Kitchen!

I am writing this review while still at the restaurant, feeling compelled to share my disappointing experience. I ordered the jollof rice with dark meat, but unfortunately, my request was ignored. Instead, I served chicken breasts, and when I raised the issue, the staff argued with me about the meat type. I decided to order the suya with jollof rice as an alternative, only to be surprised when my food was served on a plastic plate, which was unexpected for a dining establishment.

To add to my disappointment, when the bill arrived, I noticed that I was still charged for the jollof rice with chicken that I didn’t eat!!!!!
When I brought this to the attention of the manager, I was informed that the restaurant offers both white and dark meat options. If this is indeed the policy, it should have been communicated to me by the waitress who assured me that the jollof rice came with dark meat.

Despite my husband’s willingness to pay for the meal and add a tip, I declined as I do not believe in rewarding poor service. This decision seemed to upset the waitress, who was on the verge of arguing with me. I politely informed her that my husband would not be leaving a tip as per my request.

Overall, the food was mediocre, the service was subpar, and the wait time for assistance was excessive. I would advise others to avoid this establishment to save themselves from a similar experience. This has been the worst dining experience I have ever encountered.

Very delicious Nigerian cuisine.

It’s my first time trying Nigerian that I can remember and it’s very flavorful. Full of rich spices and complex flavors. Eating the Og info. Along with the Amala was a new experience as well.

I got take out during the day and had friendly service while I was there.
It also seems like it could be a happening spot at night, there was a DJ booth and inside it was slightly more clubby that restaurant vibes.

Food was yummy, I got 2 dishes one for lunch and another for dinner and enjoyed my day of Nigerian cuisine.

I haven’t eaten any Ogbono anywhere , and be told ogbono is meant to be watery because of the stew in it lol . I had the worst ogbono here , and had to push it to the side the moment I had my hand it. I am sorry I m leaving this review , people need to know NOT to eat or try ogbono here if it’s not made correctly. Please ask for sample before paying for it . I had to go back and forth to have them void the charge. I will be posting a video with this review , my fiend had the egusi and it was bad .

We had fried wings for appetizers and oh lord, it was not cooked all the way in , they took it back to throw it in the oil for us to eat it that’s when I was like NO NO NO this is not the place to be , not sure who their cooks are , , but they need authentic cooks in there.

AND PLEASE Tell YOUR SERVERS TO STOP FORCING CUSTOMERS TO LEAVE TIPS!! The Lightskin lady literally came in to her shift and only served us a plate and EMPHASIZES ON GIVING HER TIPS, you shouldn’t be forced to leave, the male server ALSO EMPHASIZED ON giving him tip

Food here was surprisingly delicious!
My family ordered different Nigerian soups. I had the bitter leaf soup. We also ordered moi-moi and suya.. Everything was really tasty. According to my wife and daughter, it was worth the long trip from PA. The only drawback: the food portions were quite small and expensive!

Let me start by saying that I am disappointed. And I rate this place 4 over 10. Normally I don’t like giving reviews. But I have to do this one because I paid almost $100 for my food yesterday and I am disappointed real disappointed. I am from out of state and I saw this restaurant on Google. I called to order four different type of dish for my family. Efor riro with Eba, okra soup and Eba, and another side of eba half isiewu (half goat head), and Asaro (yam Porridge) thinking the food will be as good as they have 4.5 good reviews. The food was a disaster. The okra soup is like one or 2 scoops of serving spoon of soup and it looks watered down so bad, I mean the soup is really small. The efor riro does taste anything like Yoruba efor riro it taste awful, I’m not a your person but if me as an outside is saying the efor is bad Believe on my mothers life the food is bad. The efor riro is the same thing as okra soup it’s watered down and it’s just one or 2 scoops full of serving spoon. The isiewu is manageable and the asaro is blah. But the time I got to my Airbnb they it’s late i was so mad and I threw the efor riro soup and okra soup along with the Eba in the trash….
I don’t know if this was because it was on a Sunday and they have to scrape bottom pot of soup I don’t know even know. And if they say it will be ready in 15-20 mins know it’s a lie it took them over 45mins to have it ready. If I had know I would have eat the food there: this place is a ripoff. Stay away from the place if you know what good food taste like if not it will spoil your tastebuds

Portion is way too small for egusi. I can’t even finish my one pounded yam with this. I tried once and it was good but the portion is too small for $30.
