** update – Joe, the owner gave me a call and seemed very receptive to my feedback regarding setting guest expectations and staff communication. If I were local to the area I would be willing to give the restaurant another shot. **
Walked in to order, my first hint to turn around should have been the 10 other people waiting in the lobby. But I ordered anyway, was quoted 15 minutes. Then I learned that everyone else was waiting 30+ minutes. Even people who had ordered online.
It got to the point where people actually CHEERED when someone actually received their order.
After 45 minutes I asked for a refund, they finally had my order ready.
The wings are just fine. But not “stand around for 45+ minutes” good

While the flavors were good, the wings were so overcooked that there was hardly anything edible. What meat was left was dry, and we couldn’t take a bite without the bones breaking off.

Placed an online order.. got there to pick it up and apparently someone stole our order, so they remade it for us. They then forgot the fries, so had to wait extra for those. One of the items ordered was a large boneless wings only, which was 12 wings. Got home and they only gave 10 wings. Not really worth a phone call cause we’re not gonna go back since we live in KCMO, plus it close to closing time. But this is the second time they have given less wings than what is in the order. Once was at the mission location and once at the Olathe location.. they are consistent across locations… consistently delicious wings… and consistently stiffing you in wings. Lol

Wing Stand is hands down one of the best spots for wings! The flavors are amazing – super bold and cooked perfectly every time. The wings are always fresh, juicy, and have the right amount of crisp. The staff is friendly and quick, and the service feels personal. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size, and the atmosphere is great whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. If you’re a wing lover, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

I got the Stingin’ Honey Garlic Loaded Fries, they forgot the queso so I had to go back in. They put the sauces in little containers, that was hardly enough for the fries, besides drizzling it on the fries. Maybe got 2 chicken tenders, and they were hard, very old. The fries were cooked well and had nice seasoning though. Disappointing experience all in all.

Absolutely delicious food. We ordered the Sweet Corn Nuggs, a regular traditional wing meal with tots, and a large traditional wing meal with tots. We had the Mango Tango, Hot, Lemon Pepper, and Hot Honey Citrus sauces. The wings were cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin. The sauces were all delicious. The corn Nuggs were delicious. The ranch and Bleu cheese dressings are homemade and so good.
The gentleman who took our order and prepared our food was very friendly and ensured we were happy with our meal.

I had high hopes for this place because of the other reviews I read. It wasn’t necessarily bad tasting but it wasn’t good enough to plan a return visit. Our stomachs didn’t feel well after eating so this will be a one and done experience. The customer service from the one employee running the register and prepping the food was good though.

Today, I visited for the first time. I saw their advertisement on their window as I was exiting a neighboring business, and I just had to try the Sweet Heat Peach wings! Kyle (name on receipt) was incredibly helpful after I shared it was my first visit. He talked me through my order and even met a special request. Also, I received the Chiefs Win discount that I wasn’t even aware of! The establishment looked tidy and clean. The service was wonderful. The food was as good as the wonderful aroma coming from their front door! I will be back for more! LOVED IT!

I’ve been eating at Jefferson’s for years absolutely love the place…. The Wing Stand is amazing! Have to brag on Wing Stand staff…. The driver from DoorDash forgot our drinks… an absolute kind lady from WingStand personally delivered our drinks. Did not have to do that!! That was a class act! Love seeing a person like her in our community and world!!
