Stopped at The Goat Saloon after a photo shoot just across the border in Wisconsin. Me and my key grip rolled in, grabbed two seats at the bar, and got service right away. Small kitchen — basically a grill and a couple fryers — but don’t let that fool you. They put out some seriously good food.
Scott (my key grip) ordered the Goatzilla burger with peanut butter and thought it was fantastic. I went for the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. The chicken was hot, sweet, and had that honey kick — really solid. But the onion rings? Absolute perfection. I don’t think I’m going to chase the “perfect onion ring” again, because I found it here at The Goat.
Big shoutout to the owner, who actually stopped by our seats to check on our food and our service. That kind of thing gets lost in a lot of places these days — good on him for keeping it personal.
Bathrooms? About a two-star setup — small-town, rural-America charm with cedar planks and tin roofing. It’s a bar, so you know what you’re walking into.
Would I stop again? Absolutely. Their burger lineup looks impressive, and after that first bite, we were hooked.

I loved the small town atmosphere and the service between the server and the cook was great! The food was amazing from the appetizer, loaded tots to my Drunken Goat burger! We loved it and will be back!

Food was really good, service was less than par! Waited for her to notice us and tried to get her attention at the bar for service! She messed up on a simple drink order, never came to check on us till we were already done eating! Watched her carry a case of beer out to a customer to refill his beer bucket ! There was bingo going on, but the place was not that busy! Seemed like she had zero service experience and was more focused on pulltabs and her guests at the bar, which made our visit less than enjoyable! It was a neat place with good food.

Owner and server were awesome. I had gift cards that were very old and from a previous owner. They still honored it and were very generous. I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich.

We needed food and ordered wings and deep fried mushrooms. Those mushrooms were the bomb! Amazing! Our wings were wonderful! Service was spot on. Thank you so much!

My folks and I went in to The GOAT Saloon tonight and we had an amazing experience. Neil was our bartender/cook. The burgers were extraordinary and the customer service was incredible. Definitely coming back for many more.

Hadn’t been here in at least 20 years. Happened to be a Wednesday, and we were craving a burger.
As luck would have it, they have a Burger & fries special for $9. We had the Bella & Swiss Burgers–they were delicious! Washed them down with a couple tap beers.
Bartender/cook (Thumper?) was friendly and did a great job. He told us there are new owners and some changes may be coming. I saw a sign for a new summer drink list for specials.
We will definitely return. Best burgers se have had in a while and the fries were tasty, too.
