I decided to order Pho on Saturday. I ordered the #15 Yummy Pho with the massive short rib, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My manager actually ordered the same dish earlier in the week and encouraged me to try it, so I already had high expectations—and they still managed to exceed them.

The short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful, with the meat literally falling off the bone. The broth had that deep, rich, slow-simmered taste that warms you from the inside out, and the noodles were fresh with the perfect bite. It was one of those bowls where every spoonful hits just right.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now. I’ve been to Yummy Seafood before, but had yet to try this place. Living in the Original Chinatown, surrounded by some of the best pho spots and amazing food up and down Bellaire, I thought I’d seen it all. But I still haven’t found another spot offering a short rib pho like this—especially one this big, tender, and well-prepared.

Overall, Yummy Pho & Bo Ne delivered a standout bowl that’s definitely worth the visit. I’ll absolutely be back.

Yummy Pho no longer retains its authentic pho flavor, so if you’re looking for the traditional taste, Yummy Pho is no longer a good choice. The broth is too strongly flavored with star anise, which throws off the balance of flavors. They use “hủ tiếu” noodles instead of pho noodles, so it’s actually “beef hủ tiếu”, not beef pho. I used to enjoy it and brought my family here, but it’s not the same anymore, which is quite disappointing. The price increase doesn’t match the quality. My family ordered both pho soup and stir-fried pho, and the stir-fried pho was a better choice because it resembled “mixed hủ tiếu”, while “beef pho” is far from the real pho should be. Another drawback is that the glasses of water smelled strongly of detergent, so much so that I didn’t dare drink them. I hope the restaurant will improve the quality.

As a Vietnamese person, I think that Yummy Pho and Bo Ne serves a very crude beef and chicken pho. Their noodles are too starchy, meats are too dry, and their broth lack the rich umami flavors you’d expect from traditional pho. This location has a lot of work to do in order to compete to their competitors and their sister location in Pearland. I tried both the pho tai nam and pho ga. Their floors are very slimy.

First and last time at this establishment. My daughter and I were eating our pho bowls and as I looked to the seat next to me, I was disgusted to find a live cockroach crawling on my purse! I didn’t make a big deal about it, which I could’ve easily made a scene in front of the other customers. Instead, I alerted the server, and he swatted it with his bare hand, apologized and walked away. At this point, I had already lost my appetite and couldn’t continue eating. I went to pay the bill and all they did was take off $6.50, (25% off)! They didn’t even cover the meal that I barely touched! Disappointed and disgusted. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant.

Disappointing Atmosphere at Yummy Bo Ne & Pho (Katy)

I visited Yummy Bo Ne & Pho this morning around 9:00 AM for an early meal before work. The **Pho was decent, hot, and acceptable—the food itself was fine.

However, the customer experience was extremely unsettling and unprofessional. A Vietnamese woman, whom I was later told is a manager, was openly and loudly berating her staff both on the phone and directly in the dining area.

She repeatedly referred to her employees as “li’nh” (Army) and was speaking in such a high volume that I and two other tables of customers were uncomfortable and witnessed the entire interaction.

I tried to ask staff members for her name, but every employee I asked, from the front counter to the cook in the kitchen, was visibly afraid and unwilling to give it. The fear among the employees was palpable. The table server was alright.

To the owner, Mr. Kevin / Khiem: Your restaurant’s food quality is keeping your rating afloat, but this manager’s behavior is severely damaging your customer experience and creating a toxic work environment. This level of public disrespect and intimidation of staff is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately to ensure a professional and comfortable atmosphere for your customers and employees.

I won’t be coming back for a while.

We were walking around looking for something to eat, everything looked amazing so it was a hard decision. This place say us right away, we ordered kid’s pho, ban mi, vermicelli bowl with chicken and the pho with the giant beef bone. Positions and flavor are great, very authentic and great service.

Their pho was very disappointing. The broth had no flavor, the noodles were too starchy, and the meat was extremely dry. The restaurant itself didn’t seem like the cleanest place. Staff was nice though

If I can give negative numbers I would. The food is not great at all. The chicken was dry and hard. I didn’t eat anything on my plate because of the nasty taste it left. The service was awful we sat ourselves and waited for someone to come attend us. The food came out very fast, makes me wonder if the food is just re heated left overs. The building is dirty there was dust balls all over the wall and the tvs. The straws for the drinks don’t hold up well and flattened when used with a cap. This is not what I expected from this place. When I explained that the food sucked and I didn’t want to pay for that plate they said I had to order something else or only 10% of.. horrible

Great local chain of comfort Vietnamese food.

The service was reasonably friendly, fast and efficient. The seating is a little cramped. The tables are a little small and close together.

One of their specialties is their bò né, which is served on a sizzling platter and a cool presentation. While the beef cubes come out well done, they are still tender and flavorful.

The Bò Lúc Lắc / shaking beef is another one of their specialties and was well executed. The beef filet cubes come out medium rare and have a nice bold flavor. The dish over all is well balanced with the veggies and fried rice.

The yummy pho is a nice upgrade with a giant beef short rib. The meat was surprisingly tender and well worth the upgrade from their other pho options.

Difficult to find parking as it’s shared with many other restaurants.
