If you like small town charm, visit The Laid back on the river. Nightly entertainment except Mon. Camping available on the Ohio River. Very clean establishment. We ordered the chicken tender basket which was awesome. So if your just passing thru Ironton or need a place to unwind and hang out definitely worth the stop.

Couldn’t have a better name. I relaxed and laid back on their huge covered outdoor patio that has a great view of the river, bikers parking lot plenty of tvs, and a good view of the live band stage. Food is good and typical of an establishment that focuses on atmosphere first. Indoor area is small, but the outdoor area is where it’s at! There were boats anchoring out on the river to listen to the live band too! There’s also a campground right next to it so you can come and enjoy the whole night long!

The Laidback in Ironton, OH is located on the bank of the Ohio River. Ironton is a place where almost all roads that lead there have a lot of curves. The curves made The Laidback a biker destination point to rest, eat, and have fun with live entertainment.
The place got new ownership in 2020 and everything was remodeled and upgraded. The new owner did a fantastic job at every level. Great food, incredible location on the river with camping availability. Outdoor bandstand with a spacious covered seating area. They also changed the culture of the place just being a biker bar. It’s still a great place for bikers but now it’s a great place for the family. However, good common sense has to be applied when you bring children. This is a live entertainment bar and the evening hours are more suited for adults.
It’s a great place to add to your list of fun and interesting places to visit. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it took about 40 minutes for our food to come out and we arrived when they open at noon. The delay could have been we were the first ones there and they were still prepping the kitchen. But considering we were the first orders in the wait was a bit long.

Not very busy during lunch time. My husband and I came and ate here when I picked him up from work after coming home from out of town. They have a nice menu to choose from. I absolutely LOVE the beer cheese and the burgers are so great and well cooked

Bartender won’t accept your vertical license even if it says in big bold letters that you are no longer under 21. Manager also won’t answer any questions about this issue on the phone and will instead hang up on you multiple times. Have fun guys, happy new years!!!
