Hands down the best Polish deli in all of Chicagoland! Barbara’s Polish Deli is authentic, fresh, and packed with flavor. If you’re not sure what to order, do yourself a favor and get the Polish Plate—it’s a little bit of everything, and every single bite is incredible. The pierogi, sausage, cabbage rolls—it’s all perfect.
The staff is warm and welcoming, and you truly feel like part of the family when you walk in. Even my German Shepherd loves it here—he practically pulls me toward the door every time we’re nearby!
If you want the real taste of Poland, Barbara’s is the spot. Five stars, no doubt—the best!

I have been here twice in the past 5 days, and everything that I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. I first went for their potato and cheese pierogi, which are the best I’ve ever had. I next had a plate lunch from their hot foods section, which also hit the spot. I love their selection of grocery goods as well. The ladies working there are super friendly and very helpful; I felt so welcomed each time I went in. I will absolutely be back, and Barbara’s may become a weekly lunch spot for me!

Went in for lunch and had a polish sausage with caramelized onions, breaded pork chop, pierogis, and meat & mushroom sauerkraut. The sauerkraut and pierogis were divine. The sauerkraut is savory and bursting with flavor. Pierogis are a tradition in my family and these pierogis were great. They have a nice frozen variety of pierogis if you want to take some home. My girlfriend had the stuffed cabbage and she thought it was great. Will definitely be back for their fresh bread, pierogis and to try more delicious Polish food. Service was excellent, the place was run by 3 lovely Polish ladies. An older gentleman sat next to us and had gotten some cabbage soup that looked delicious. I’d love to try more of their food.

The kind ladies working in the place are enough to get me coming back, but when you try their food all you will start thinking is how long have I been missing out on this hidden gem. I live in the neighborhood and have been grabbing lunch here all week with such a wide selection and great recommendations!

I finally checked this place out and it didn’t disappoint. I got the Polish special: potato pancake, pierogi, stuffed cabbage and sauerkraut. All delish. Best sauerkraut I’ve ever had. The pancakes were a bust of flavor with every bite. Sausage had great flavor. Everything was good.
Also tried blubbery pound cake, which was heavenly.

Picked up some cabbage rolls and pierogi today. Cabbage rolls were very bland but edible. I was hungry. Pierogi were grey in color, dry and oily. Frozen ones I prepare at home are 10x better. I was somewhat disappointed to say the least.

Amazing and delicious food with beautiful presentation. We used the catering services and everything earned five stars: from quality, quantity, accuracy, presentation of food to communication and price! The owner was very easy to work with and beyond accommodating. My guests loved, loved and loved the food. The Polish cuisine at its best! Will be a returning customer when an opportunity arises.
