Honestly shocked at some of the very poor reviews bec we found the food to be above expectations for a food hall, counter service, and we’ve had a lot of subpar food at this food hall before. We ordered the curry chicken katsu and the pork belly skewers. The pork belly was tender and the caramelized sauce and bites of green onion were delicious. A little pricey but very tasty. The katsu was crispy and well made. Curry was yummy but a little lukewarm on a cold day. The slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Didn’t care for the cup of broth that it came with. Service was a little slow and this food hall is always noisy and crowded. But glad to have found a place I actually like in H-Mart and will return.

Every item we ordered was very good, with the exception of the burger in the picture. My son ordered the burger based 100% on the picture, and even I was tempted to order one, but everything else was really good. I was going to give 4 stars, but when the cashier saw me take the picture, I was confronted by another lady telling me not to post it on Google. When I told her the burger didn’t look like the one in the picture, she told me everybody does the same thing, giving McDonald’s and Burger King as examples. Yes, they do that, but that isn’t an excuse. We all know big chains lie, but that doesn’t make it right. Then I was offered a refund, and when I said yes, the lady left and never came back. They should’ve been the ones interested in making things right, so I didn’t push the issue. That’s why I gave them 3 stars.
In conclusion, the food is very good; just stay away from the burger.

Katsu was crispy and not bad. The portioning of the side dishes and rice was very small. My accomplice got a tomahawk katsu and it was not enjoyable for them. My experience with the regular pork katsu was fine

Absolute joke of a dish for almost $17. Two frozen hamburgers with canned green beans and a decent sauce. The menu clearly shows hand made beef steaks, not everything pre made. I would not be surprised at all if the sauce is pre made too. I used to get all kinds of items off the menu but this insanity is not only insulting, but extremely dishonest.

Disgusting experience! The cashier was really unprofessional and couldnt handle the crowd. She totally forgot to place the order in the kitchen and i had to wait for good 30 minutes for two simple dishes. On top she lied mentioning they were busy with other orders. When the order came, it was a wrong meal! totally spoilt our experience. The food is average and was undercooked since thwy had to hurry things …And definitely not worth the money! Dare to dine here.

It’s been a while eating here and saw that they had new menu, looks like mexican fusion style.
We got the texas king katsu, chicken cream pasta and pulled beef with fries.
Our usual habit is always the texas katsu and pasta, sometimes bacon pasta sometimes katsu pasta sometimes other pasta.
The pulled meat with fries is okay, very standard bbq flavor with fries, sauce and bunch of pickle. Very oily at the bottom.
The pasta is okay, i just choose pasta, just because. My husband always take the texas katsu. And i always snatch few bites. Their katsu size was humongous and 2 pieces. For their price, it was very worthwhile!! Even if the price increases quite high within these past 2-3 years, it still worth the money. We ate the katsu 2x, which shown how big the portion. As for the side, it slightly changes, which we didn’t care that much. Service not so much and very basic since it was a food court and just a cashier. Atmosphere also decent, food court after all.
So yeah, if we go to h-mart, it always be the texas katsu to order. Others probably just an extra side.

This place was great. For what I paid for the amount of food was awesome. I couldn’t eat the whole plate so I had enough to take home for later. The price on the food was very reasonable. I paid around $70 for four people. I would very much recommend this place. Only thing is there is a long wait because of how many people are waiting on their orders. It’s a very popular restaurant.

Didn’t like it, didn’t hate it.. I think this food court is always busy, it takes away a lot from food to service..
Had the pork katsu.. perfect size for me, however, very small serving of rice and macaroni salad was weird and dry.. miso soup was a plus.. katsu sauce is different from what I’m used to.. shredded cabbage was perfection..

Calling katsu lovers
The katsu is in large portions and came with sides. I personally did not enjoy the sides except for the coleslaw.
The C2 was a good choice for curry.
It’s inside H-Mart but on a separate side. The space had alot of other vendors to choose from and lots of seating. When your order is placed they will give you a buzzer so you can go find seating.
The staff was very kind and our food came quickly.
We recommend this for katsu lovers wanting a quick fix.

I had been craving Tonkatsu since leaving Japan, found this place in the H Mart food hall.
It wasn’t bad but not great, if it was cheaper I don’t think it would be so low rating.
The good, the pork fillet was thick and juicy, the batter crust was very crisp and had a nice delicate crunch
The sides were mid, very small rice portion, cabbage salad had an decent dressing, regular American style pickles and pickled jalapeños surprised me
The bad was the sauce, I was expecting the bold Bull Dog type tonkatsu sauce but it was more like a bbq sauce, not good
It’s located in the food hall next to H Mart, lots of seating, decent location with lots of options
