At our Conyers, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This store does not even deserve 1 star. I went through drive thru and ordered for my family. Hence the fact I waited over 20 minutes to get to the speaker to order and another 20 to 30 minutes to get to the window and tried paying split payment half cash the rest card. The manager stated they don’t accept split payments. OK Cool no biggie…. Then I received my food. Once I got home the food was disgustingly cold, hard, altogether NOT FRESH like you would expect. I called to report it and they wanted to know how long it took me to get home. NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS… Clearly not long because the guy remembered who I was. They have no empathy on their service and was not willing to replace the order. They told me that in order to replace the food they need all the food back the “next day?” In which it made no sense at all… needless to say I will not be going back to this establishment…

I do reviews normally if the service is just horrendous or very good! I stopped to get a fish dinner/shrimp and got home to realize the slaw had a funny taste and smell. I wanted to reach out and let the restaurant know just in case someone may become ill. The manager answered and she was so polite, I forgot the coleslaw was even bad! Her customer service and voice was so pleasant. She knew exactly why the slaw wasn’t good due to a different mix being sent. She proceeded to explain it was being pulled and that I could get a replacement while back in the area! Tiara (manager) continue to provide excellent service and know it doesn’t go unnoticed! The rest of my food was great as always.

I stopped because I had a long day and was trying to get something quick for myself and my husband. I ordered a 3 piece fish with double fries for him. And the 2 piece fish dinner with a baked potato and broccoli for myself. Yes I looked at the food prior to leaving the store and thought, “my the fish sure is small”. This was a Sunday evening @ 18.57 on 10.26.25. Got home to relax and eat. Boy we were immediately disappointed. The seating area was very clean. Your staff were cordial. One young man looked very tired/ exhausted. But nevertheless he was very cordial. The fries were not fresh by any means. Kinda tuff, hard and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. ? Is this real fish? The taste wasn’t anything like I remembered. It almost taste like it was cooked to fast and the texture on the inside looked different. It looked like a manmade product. The broccoli also had a funny taste. Although I hadn’t eaten here in years, I was expecting the food to taste half way decent. ?Are you precooking the food that most people order? Judging from the reviews I hope you all are taking heed to the reviews. I am beyond disappointed. You really should address your staff at store # 3699. Ref 3852998266192997278 Register 03. Order totalling. $20.83. I would have driven back up there, but it’s dark and I have a full day tomorrow. These days you can’t waste money. Very big mistake on my part. Never eating at any Captain D’s ever again. As I stated I hadn’t eaten here in years. I guess the quality of the food was the reason as it is now. I could have used that $20+ for gas or groceries. Just so disappointed.

I visited this location today, 10/2, and there was a sign on the drive thru window that if the employee did not offer you the option to add on 5 butterfly shrimp for $1.99 that you would get them for free. The employee I interacted with, Sonia, never offered this, so when I asked her about the special, she blatantly LIED and said she did offer me 4 cocktail shrimp. She did not. I had 3 passengers in the car with me and asked if they heard her offer this and they also stated they didn’t. & on top of that the sign explicitly stated a 5 piece butterfly shrimp as part of the special. I told her again she never offered me this and that if the real deal is that she has to offer a 4 piece cocktail shrimp or a 5 piece butterfly shrimp then the sign needs to be updated because it was misleading. She then got aggressive and lied again and said the sign was also on the drive thru sign, which it isn’t. I also had to wait 5 minutes before she even took my order. She came on the speaker and said I could order and never mentioned the shrimp add on. I will not be visiting this location again. Please invest into hiring honest employees who are accountable for their mistakes.

I ordered the grilled salmon and this is what I got! This was DISGUSTING! EVERYTIME I come to this location I’m never satisfied. I only come because my spouse loves it but the Conyers Captain D’s has went downhill tremendously. The food and service is horrible being completely honest ever since Mr. Sharuben Turk left about 2 years ago, the company has went down.

Let me start by saying, I love Captain D’s. I was so excited to see that you guys had opened back up! I came on opening day and the food was great! I came again, food was great, customer service great! So from then on, I expect that same food and service on each visit. But the last 2 times I’ve been there the food was horrible. This time I took pictures! My spicy fish was good, but they had no batter crumbs in the box and I got double fries and some of them were like lukewarm rubber bands and the others were rock hard. I ordered my husband a 3 piece fish with a baked potato and green beans. His potatoes was a tan color and really gummy. That’s a premium side, so it costs more! Also, how can you wait in line so long for food thats not fresh? Whats the point of waiting if the food isnt going to be worth the wait? Anyhow, we don’t have a lot of good food places in Conyers. So please take a little more pride in the food the you serve.

I ordered in the drive thru, there was about a 10 minute wait, but the staff at the window was cordial and got my order correct. We ordered a family meal battered fish which was cooked fresh and good, now the cheesesticks were not worth $4.99 all the cheese was on the outside of the stick. Overall I recommend.

Sat in the drive thru 30 long grueling minutes waiting on my order. I Finally got up to the window and got my food. The Order was wrong and the food was stale then they shorted me on the rice and argued me up and down that the salmon meal only comes with one tablespoon of rice.
I demanded a refund instantly and took my money elsewhere cause no .
The problem was they were short handed with an inexperienced cashier and novice cooks. They remodeled the Captains Ds after the fire. They need to remodel employees too.
