I was born & raised in the heart of Dallas but lived in Celina for 1 year, ten years ago. Recently my grandkids were visiting & we drove out there to see how the town has changed. They wanted to eat here, so we walked in with our masks on. There were 3-4 teens working there. None wore masks & none bothered putting them on when we arrived. That made me uneasy, still not sure why I didn’t turn around and leave or tell them to put them on.
We ordered a large pizza with everything on it, drinks and a manicotti for me to take home. I didn’t know where anything was like cutlery, napkins, etc. My grandson went hunting & found them in the back. One of the girls brought our pizza to us & was pleasant, but when I got up later to look for a togo box, I couldn’t see any of the workers.
The pizza itself was amazing, tons of cheese & fresh ingredients. The manicotti was too salty, barely edible.
Many places these days hire teens – I’m very much in favor of that – I have teen grands looking for work. But I feel an adult should always be onsite. It just gives credibility to the place.
I was about to get out of my car to go back in for the pizza when one of the ladies brought it out to me. That was very nice of her. As she handed me the box I thought it felt really light-weight for an xtra large 2 topping pizza. I got in the car and opened the box and was beyond disappointed at how small this pizza was. I saw pictures online of a Mogio’s pizza in front of a little girl that was about the same size as our pizza. Surely her parent didn’t order her an xtra large pizza. It was getting late for a school night so no time to go back in and complain, plus kids were already getting impatient. I just spent $13.50 on a pizza and was going to have to prepare something else to go with it as it would not feed our family of 5 (like a family size Papa Murphy’s for $13 would). Two of the pieces had the crust black and burnt. The flavors were OK but honestly I was so bent out of shape about the size and crust quality, I couldn’t enjoy it. I was so excited to try something that wasn’t a chain restaurant pizza and I wished I hadn’t wasted our time and money. After reading other reviews it appears the owners don’t care to respond, so I am at least posting this for others to read who might be considering going there. Don’t waste your money…or get something other than pizza.
Don’t order delivery, consistently cold and messed up orders. Very good pizza when it’s hot and fresh but doesn’t come that way when delivered. Also don’t expect your order to be correct several times the dressings ordered for salads were not correct or missing.
We ordered a large order from Magios , one of the pizzas I ordered was delivered wrong so I called. I wasn’t mad. Just wanted to let them know. They said they would deliver the correct pizza. 5 min later the manager calls and asks what happened so I tell him again. He doesn’t say “ok thank you, it’s on the way….” nothing. He just hangs up on me! 20 minutes later they show up with the pizza and demand to come “look at what they originally delivered to verify we were telling the truth”
Are you kidding me???? This will be the last time they get my business. I understand human error but don’t you dare demand to come in my kitchen when I have a house full of guests to demand anything. The most outrageous pizza delivery I’ve ever experienced.
Never again.
