Rarely write a review, but this place deserves the praise! Picked up the very best take out food, super kind and accommodating owner and service. The Pasta Bake was fantastic, garlic bread amazing, and the salad and Dessert was super yummy. Hope to pass thru town in the future and stop in again. Owner mentioned he recently moved to this new location and it looked great! Thanks again!

Ordered 2 trays of traditional lasagna for a party. When we went to pick them up, we decided to stay for a slice of alfredo with bacon and it was ok. Not really my thing. Didn’t have enough contrast of flavors and a little too salty.

However, we had 15 people at the party and every one of us liked the traditional lasagna!
It is not cheap but, it was very good and filling.
I definitely recommend trying this place. If you order a tray, you can get it built any way you want. He also makes Spaghetti to go, salad and garlic bread.

Just FYI … you either have to get there as soon as he opens or call ahead. Otherwise, you may not get any. Either way, It is worth checking out.

If you’re in the Deadwood area and are looking for a place to eat that is away from all the touristy stuff, I strongly recommend checking out Lasagna Mountain.

This was by far the most unique eating experience I’ve had in my life. Right upon walking in, Seth went over the evenings menu and lasagna options.

Then within 10-15 minutes the food was ready to eat. The atmosphere felt like we were eating at a good friend’s house. Seth spent ample time chatting with all of us and the food was so good, our Chicago group can forgive him and his Indianapolis Colts for beating Da Bears in the Super Bowl.

With 40 different types of Lasagna offered on a rotational basis, everyone is bound to find something they are comfortable with or curious to test out.

Unfortunately, since I don’t live in the area, I won’t be able to try all 40 types of lasagna, but if I lived close by, I’d make sure to try them all out over time.

Thank you Seth for a great meal and experience. You are a legend. Enjoy the outdoors and hiking during your time off.

If you’re looking for a restaurant experience, a full staff ready to serve you, or even an extensive menu- this isn’t it.
But, if you’re looking for quality food, a one-man show run by a very kind, attentive man who radiates “good vibes”, and a uniquely set-up dining experience- this is it.
Picture this: you walk into a shop(maybe?) Because the window says “Lasagna Mountain”. There’s some quilting stuff to the left, doors with numbers on them, an open kitchen concept on the right, tables, and chairs scattered about, and a counter with a handwritten menu.
That was our experience. We greeted the owner to let him know we were there. He came out, all smiles, and let us know that our options were limited for beverages because he’d run out and that only one of us could have an Italian sausage because that’s what was left.
We both ordered the chicken Alfredo lasagna in a large size. We ordered a salad and one of each type of bread- one garlic, one cheesy.
He got busy relatively quickly and was sold out of food by the time we left.
The food is served on real plates which made my meal feel even more homemade and gave me that warm feeling when you know you’re about to eat something that someone cooked with a dash of love.
The first bite, I looked at my sister and said, “This is seasoned so well!” No idea how he keeps the chicken from overcooking or feeling gummy. It was so fresh we had to ask about it! Between running the kitchen, greeting customers, and cleaning up, the owner, Seth, pulled up a chair and talked to us. Just as almost every review prior states, very personable guy, who makes you feel like you’re just eating at his house. Here’s the trick: everything is sold the same day. The food doesn’t get sold the following day if it doesn’t sell out. He shops for fresh ingredients daily.
I recommend following Lasagna Mountain on Facebook as that’s where the options for the night are posted. I can’t wait to return with my family on our next trip.

The food is great! The owner definitely puts a lot of work into his business to provide satisfaction for every customer that comes in. The wait time was a little longer than expected due to it being busy but the wait was 100% worth it. If you’re craving a good lasagna/pasta, this is the spot to go. 10/10

We ate at the new location in Spearfish tonight and it was so good!! I called my order in a few minutes before they opened for the evening and it was ready when we got there, hot and fresh. Seth was very nice and accommodating as well, overall awesome. We will definitely be back

This was a great stop for supper! We tried 2 different kinds of lasagna and both were excellent! The owner is super friendly and makes each day’s lasagna fresh each morning. Everything is homemade. He has 30 kinds of lasagna and features a few different ones each night since they are freshly made. The location is shared with a bakery and makerspace (along with a few others) so don’t walk past like we did at first. He has a good system down to get you your food in about 10 minutes no matter how many people are there. We are looking forward to future visits when we are back in the area!

I normally can’t be bothered to leave reviews on Google but this place is truly exceptional! While I was in the area I went for dinner twice here and was blown away both times. The owner is extremely personable and makes you feel right at home while serving up exceptional food. Make sure you go early or call ahead to ensure a piece of lasagna is saved for you! There is a different flavour of lasagna each night – pictured is the Enchilada Lasagna with cheesy bread!

The owner is absolutely amazing. His personality alone will make me want to come back. The food is wonderful, fresh made daily. Made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Don’t tell my mom, but this place just might beat her lasagna.

The owner treated us like royalty, even opened a little early to accommodate our group of 6. The food was fantastic. I had the tomato & spinach Alfredo lasagna, something very different & delicious. The others had the traditional lasagna that was very good also. Very unique setting but very relaxed & inviting. Sure wish we could have stayed a little longer. The building is very charming as well. Thanks Seth, we loved it.
