stopped by for early dinner and we were amazed at the quality of everything! we ordered a cemita, tacos de birria, and chilaquiles. everything was sooooo incredibly delicious. i especially loved that they make their bread in house so it’s always super fresh. staff was friendly and so accommodating. this is definitely a woodside gem! can’t wait to try their other dishes as well

Went to buy three cemitas after seeing all the videos on tiktok. I waited for a long time but I was okay with it since I was excited to see what the hype was about. I got home and one still had raw meat and was not fully cooked, another had hair in the cheese. I am very disappointed in my experience and feel that it was not worth it.
Edit: Owner reached out after I emailed them and asked me to take this review down after offering a refund. Beyond disappointed.

The food was great! The portions were huge and I did not expect that and it was priced so amazingly. Only complaint I have is that there is limited seating and the kitchen is directly in front of you whilst you’re eating. Other than that, everything tastes delicious. Would 10/10 recommend for authentic Mexican food.

Hidden gem in Queens! This spot bakes their own bread fresh in house for their cemitas and tortas. One of the best cemitas we’ve had in NY.

Also loved their chilaquiles, cafe de olla and aguas frescas. Everything tasted fresh and homemade.

Decided to give this place a try on a random Monday afternoon. We ordered the chilaquiles and three tacos. Originally wanted salchipapa too but they said they were out. The chilaquiles were mid and the bistec was too hard. Didn’t really enjoy it and for the price, wasn’t worth it. The tacos were good but it wasn’t anything special. Maybe their specialty is in their cemitas/tortas but will have to see next time.

Seating was also very limited and they cook the food right there with no air circulation. By the time we finished eating, we smelled like the cooking. We might be back to try the cemitas/tortas but I was dissatisfied with the chilaquiles.

The cemita was excellent, with all the essential ingredients—papalo, plenty of cheese, and fresh-baked bread. The freshness and flavor of the ingredients really stood out. If authentic Mexican cheese could be incorporated in the future, it would take the cemita to an even higher level. The chips are absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning for more.

An absolutely delicious and authentic taste of Mexico. Service was great and the food was even better. Their bread is fresh, homemade and separates them from all other spots in the area. Will definitely be back soon!

Service was great, super attentive staff but the seating is very limited and the space is very small. Food was good, but the cemita is not like authentic cemitas poblanas. It was close tho! They get points for actually adding papalo, chipotle and were generous with thier quesillo. My non-mexican husband loved it, my mexican mother thought it was alright. I’d come back here if I was in the area.
