Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

This place has excellent service and a perfectly cooked and assembled Patty Melt. Even with mods on the order the sandwich was right on. I always appreciate the ease of a kiosk to order and the lobby is well kept. As slow as business was sInalmost felt bad for the bored looking crew. I used to have the same problem when I worked fast food. If you do your job right you literally have to search for things to keep you occupied.

The food is good. But I also like the plastic holiday cups for $.50 so cute.

Got a #1 combo with an extra large fry and they forgot my large extra fry. While I was the only person in the drive thru as well as the dining room. No excuse to forget people’s food unless they’re just being lazy and irresponsible inside.

Chef forest was amazing! Order right and tight. Must be a great manger for a late night call around 1am and still has his team on point. Coming from a chef himself.

Wanted to try the new Bacon Wrangler burger. I added to it, which made it a little sloppy. It comes with the burgers which were very flavorful. I also added lettuce, tomato, grill jalapeno’s and grill onions. It was awesome. I will definitely be returning to this location for more.

I don’t understand why this place is not always covered up. The food is good, and Patty should get a raise! I don’t think I’ve ever had a more positive and happy experience in the drive through. Chick-fil-A could learn a thing or two.

And breakfast until 11?!?

Customer service is pretty great here. I even got some smiles from the back which never happens.

Burgers are always amazing and hot! Not many places that are convenient are fresh. Here they are.

Stopped in for a bite, haven’t been to a Whataburger in years. It was clean, not busy when we went in. Service was GREAT! Patty took our order and more! She was a gem.

Usually, we love this place. I’m from Texas so this feels like home. Had a terrible experience at the one off Madison St. The burger had big chunks of lettuce core that was brown and terribly bad. We placed the huge pieces of lettuce cores on a napkin and I took it to the staff to see. No one was at counter, all in back laughing. I finally sat it down on the counter and walked back there and asked for assistance. A young girl came out and just stared at me. I pointed to the lettuce and said I wanted to show you what my husband was served on his burger and asked that she let the back know so it doesn’t happen to someone else. Again, she just stared at me like I was being rude and picky. Then she said, throw it away! I said, excuse me? She said, I told you to throw it away! I stared right back and said you served that disgusting lettuce to us and now it is yours. She never apologized or said anything friendly. We walked out and we will not be back. She was young, we are retired. I think a little customer respect would have gone a long way.
