Great food and very attentive service. The portions were on the smaller side, but everything was really well prepared. Even the delicate pear salad had many complex flavors. It’s an upscale place on a shopping street, they have a more casual cafe across the street that I haven’t visited.

A 2025 James Beard nominee and for good reason. The Pane consisted of three different types of bread, two of which were fluffy and chewy. The Verde salad had great potential ingredients but we’re just not huge fans of salads inspired by Cesar salads. The fettuccine was hand made and you could tell by the al dente nature, savory cream sauce.
Service was cordial. The atmosphere on a summer day outside was charming.

Small portions and higher prices. The food was good, but honestly, it didn’t feel much different from getting fresh ravioli from the grocery store’s refrigerated section. Service was friendly, though there’s a 5% surcharge that isn’t a tip but is said to help subsidize staff wages. Our waiter seemed a bit annoyed when we left a 15% tip because of that, which was disappointing.

We might not dress like it, but my partner and I love to splurge on fine dining. We received hands down, the best service we have received at any restaurant in a very long time, at Centrolina by Ali and staff! This restaurant was recommended by a family member who sometimes works in DC. She said to go here for the unique flavors and she definitely wasn’t wrong. The food was delicious. We will definitely return and we will be requesting Ali as our server!

Located in the heart of city center dc. I didn’t have sticker shock but from what we got for lunch, it certainly doesn’t rise to the level of excellence. If you have lived in Italy, you would not like this place very much. A little pretentious feeling here. We had the yellow tail tuna for appetizers. We had the mushroom pasta, squid ink pasta, and branzino. Everything tasted fine. The branzino was a little bland, but every component with it, tasted good. We had a chocolate cake tart and cookies and cream gelato. A 5% service charge is levied on the diners to supplement the servers‘s wages. I don’t mind tipping over 20% but forcing a service charge seems like the owners are passing the cost of employing good servers to the consumers.

100/10 every time I eat here. This trip I say at the bar for so sons drinks and bites – the perfect place to catch up with your girlfriend over delicious food
Every bite was perfection. Drinks were on point. We got 3 desserts and licked the plates clean.
Highly recommend but go early to guarantee a bar seat or make a reservation to sit at a table.

Went with the family and everyone loved the place and food. With a crowd of 6 we were all able to sample many dishes and all but 1 were truly creative and amazing. Our server and the whole service team were great too. I liked how the menu and wine list both were not extensive but still had variety. Could tell that the chef put so much thought into the menu rather than trying to cover everything.

This is one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in years. It’s true that the menu is “Italian”, but I would say more than that that the flavors are a unique mixture that I’ve never had anywhere else. I came with a friend and we split everything, had an appetizer, a pasta, an entree, and a side, and everything we ordered was phenomenal. Service was prompt but never overbearing, and the courses came out individually in a way that wasn’t rushed but also never left us waiting for long. Highly recommend!

We loved our lunch here. The chefs Negroni, the gnocchi, focaccia, the wood fired chicken, were all amazing! The mushrooms were the only dish that was a bit overcooked/rubbery. But the service was super fast and friendly that all was well with us. Would definitely come back for dinner.
