Possibly the worst pizza a human can order purchase on this planet.
Once they turn the ovens off apparently you can hear the deceased Italians turning in their graves.
How they have an Italian flag on the side of the building is a complete insult to the entire country.
Even Dr Oetker would laugh at this establishment.

Me and my son travel the Heart of Wales line by train from Llanelli to stay in Shrewsbury every now and again, and we always stop off to grab a large pizza at Al Piccolino. It’s TREMENDOUS, always made fresh in front of us, always plenty of toppings, and always fills us up. Getting a pizza here is part of our tradition, and we love it. Surprised by how good the pizza was, considering its NOT my go-to food most times. This is a takeaway place, no in-house dining and there are limited calzones and side options as well.
I got the chicken tikka pizza, standard size, and it was quite tasty and fresh. Didn’t come with any veggies, don’t remember if it was on the menu or not, so I ended up putting some tomatoes over it once back home. Loads of cheese, and took about 10 mins for the order to be ready. Recommended and good value for money

Went for the Al Picollino pizza as we have so many times before. It just wasn’t as good as usual! No peas, no garlic and base barely cooked. Still ok.

I have been buying pizza from Al Piccolino since the 80s when I was a small child, it was a treat then and still is. I don’t live in Shrewsbury anymore, but I make a point of ordering from here whenever I’m in town and I am yet to be disappointed.
A true Shrewsbury institution, I absolutely love this place. Thanks for all the great pizzas over the years.

Weekly customer who won’t bother again. Ordered pizza for my son at 6.30, told wod be an hour. 1 hour and 45 minutes later rang up as no delivery. Told would be another hour. 3 hours for a pizza. Taking the mick. Won’t use again. Think they just pick the more lucrative orders and leave the rest
