Small deli with a few tables and a good selection of food items. Owner and chef are super friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the menu or special requests. My breakfast sandwich was very good, as expected. It was smaller than average but still, a good value. The coffee was very good as well, if not super hot. Great place to sit down for a quick bite on the cheap or grab and go.

I had an Italian combo grinder. I was going to get the sandwich, but for $1.50 more, I thought it was a better deal.
Staff was friendly and my sandwiches great. If you were in the area, this place seems to have some really good food.

Update: modification: the prices used to be good, now not so much. When I get the same sandwich on my commute in Newtown (2 minutes out of my way) v. Papa’s for across the board 2-4 dollars less for the exact same food, I’ll take the 2 minutes out of my way. Saved a small fortune over the past few months.

There’s no better place for wonderful food and amazing customer service in Southbury than Papa’s deli. The owner, Adam, makes you feel very welcomed, and happy to see you every morning. I cannot recommend it enough!
