Well I got the smoked Chicken and my husband got the smoked brisket. The service was great. The food was served in a Styrofoam plate, not my favorite choice. The chicken was shredded. I did not like this at all. It was so salty I could barely eat it. It was not worth 15.00 for the plate. The smoked brisket was 18.00 and it tasted like pot roast. I give this restaurant 2 stars. My son had the same thing I had and he couldnt eat his chicken because it was so salty. This restaurant has great potential. I strongly recommend changing the menu a bit and reducing the salt definatly! Incredibly over priced. But there isn’t much competition. This is the only restaurant in town.

Well, 2-13-26, I got to get EG’s BBQ. My daughter lives in Huntsville and normally they’re closed when I drive by. I got the family pack BBQ pulled pork, I can only say one word.…AMAZING. So much BBQ to cover the 8 buns, and I must mention the buns, LEWIS, best bread ever, they actually put the best buns in with their meat. The ribs were tender, fell off the bone, delicious. Baked beans and slaw, delicious as well. I got one of each dessert, the banana pudding, peanut butter pie, great. My favorite was the lemon ice box pie, so so good, all homemade. I would love to show a pic however when I got back to Northport, I wasn’t thinking of anything other than that food, the smell in my ride, oh my goodness. The only bad thing I can say, they’re not near me. But, if they were I’d gain ten pounds in two days! I would eat there Friday and Saturday. If you’re in the area (exit 299 off I-65 get on 69 go south past Stoney Lonesome park), give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Searched for a place that serves barbecue after a youth league football game. Found Eg’s and we are extremely glad we did. My daughters and I loved everything we ate. Definitely try the banana pudding, but the Pulled Pork Sandwich , Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Brisket Plate, and Macaroni and Cheese will blow you away! Great Food and Great Atmosphere!

We love EG’s when we are in town!! We have had them cater for us and the food was excellent-both times. Eveyone that was there raved about the food and banana pudding. This place is my favorite BBQ. The people are so sweet and helpful-even with my last minute order. Wish they were in Birmingham!!!

The best BBQ chicken I’ve ever had. Hubby had the brisket sandwich and said it was equal to a place we had visited that was on FoodTV. Love that they let the meat speak for itself, and serves the sauce on the side. And the definition of true love is when hubby offered me a taste of his peanut butter pie. Oh my goodness!!

Super cool laid back joint. Order at the counter grab a drink and get a table inside or outside. They will bring you their amazing BBQ shortly. Chris(the nicest dude in Alabama IYKYK) is known as the rib man and he doesn’t disappoint. Get there early he always sells out. The whole crew will have you feeling like family. P.S. don’t miss out on those deserts. We got one of each to take with us.

I usually don’t do reviews but this one definitely deserved it. My husband and I came from California for work. Let me tell you this was the ABSOLUTE best bbq we’ve ever had in our lives. Not even exaggerating. Prices were amazing. A little underpriced if you ask me lol. Portions were huge! The gentleman (which I believe is the owner) came and sat in the table next to us just to conversate, which is something you don’t see anywhere. Super sweet and welcoming. We left very happy and already planning our next meal here!

Wow some of the best bbq brisket around! Bbq pork and chicken were dam good! We ordered the half sampler and it was enough for 2 people. We took almost half home it was so much food. Sides were amazing baked beans and macaroni and cheese and potato salad. I wish they were open all week not just Friday and Saturday. Can’t wait to go back again!
