The food was great. Excellent variety of oysters and all were fresh.
Drinks could have been better. There was very little alcohol in them.
Our server was very friendly and attentive.
Prices are on the high end.

This restaurant is really cute. The atmosphere is calming and intimate. Although I feel they dim the lights a little too much as it was rather dark. The food is great. My husband ordered steak and bisque, i ordered short ribs with lobster tail. We also ordered fried calamari and lobster mac and cheese which was amazing. They also have pretty good signature drinks. my only complain is the lack of parking which is not unusual for Montclair. I definitely recommend.

Pretty disappointing considering I had a great meal last weekend at Fin Raw Bar And Kitchen in Summit! I found out that 2 years ago a different owner bought that restaurant, but didn’t change the name. That explains why the Summit location was very good, and this restaurant wasn’t that great! The bread they start you with is rock hard and wasn’t fresh. We just sent it back! For appetizer we ordered the spring roll which was just ok, but the spicy mustard dipping sauce was tasty! For entrees we ordered the lobster and shrimp in a green curry sauce and macadamia New Zealand orange roughy. The lobster and shrimp was just fair, but I really didn’t care for the green curry sauce. The New Zealand orange roughy was bland and didn’t taste fresh at all! It flat out wasn’t good! We also ordered a side of lobster Mac and cheese which was served lukewarm, and it wasn’t decadent and cheesy! It wasn’t good! The lobster Mac and cheese was very disappointing considering the Summit location made it very good! But, again that location is under different ownership! For desserts we ordered the chocolate chip cookie sandwich and Louisiana bread pudding. The Louisiana bread pudding was the best thing we had here! It was delicious! The chocolate chip cookie sandwich was HORRIBLE! It was NOT fresh made chocolate chip cookies like you would think it would be! They were basically two low quality chocolate chip cookies made God knows when sandwiches between a low quality horrible ice cream! We sent it back, and exchanged it for the cheesecake. The cheesecake wasn’t good, and tasted like a cheap frozen supermarket cheesecake! The waitress was very nice, but we would NEVER come back! The food is mediocre with some things just not good at all! I recommend you skip this place as Montclair has far better restaurants! If your looking for a similar menu go to Fin Raw Bar in Summit which has a different owner with great food!

Fin is a fantastic dining experience. Fish at its finest. A must dine. Tuna tartare, just wonderful! Ceviche is great. The fish is always prepared to perfection.

Took some friends out to celebrate, the staff was kind and accommodating. They graciously fit us in for a last minute reservation. The food was fantastic, especially the octopus. In addition to the great food our service was top notch. The waitress was fantastic and personable, happy to recommend her favorites from the menu. Highly recommended!

Great place for drinks and seafood. Nice ambience and they have light up menus. Appetizers and drinks were great. When it came to the main course, my wife and mother in law’s food was good but not mine or my father in law’s food.
I ordered the 24 oz steak, medium. When it arrived at the table it was severely charred on the outside. Great on the inside but the top and bottom were charred so badly. My father in law got the sword fish, which had mash potato texture and smelled bad which either meant not fresh or not cooked well. He sent it back for a salmon which tasted great.
All in all, it’s a great spot for seafood, just be careful what you order.

The wait staff are pleasant, warm, and welcoming. They are knowledge about the menu items. The drinks are good and the food comes out in a nicely paced manner. I would have given 5 stars except thus far the food is hit or miss. The first time we went everything was delicious. The second time we went some of the food was good, but mostly it was average in flavor. I don’t know if it’s a difference in chefs but there was definitely a difference in quality and flavor of the food between the 1st and 2nd time I went. I would be interested in going a 3rd time, perhaps on a different day to see how the food is again.
