I used to love chicken express and would often go. But this time it has been a complete disappointment. The chicken was very hard as it had been refried to the point that it couldn’t even be eaten. The bread has a really strange taste to it. The fried pickle side was also refried probably gave me old food and just refried it. I spent $18 on a plate that ended in the trash as it was not eatable. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Don’t waste your money it’s better to go somewhere else.

It’s Valentines Day, 2025, for many. But for me, it’s my Moms birthday. I DD’d my order to her as a gift (she loves her some fried chicken) and I didn’t expect the store to also extend the gift. They gave her extra and it was ALL amazing. Especially the note. Thank you guys for helping make her day. (Hushpuppies were absolutely amazing btw, they were cold by the time I made it over, but a few seconds nuked )

Ordered a 7 piece tender meal (almost $18 with tax) and got all the way home just to realize they only gave me 5 “tenders” that were closer in size to a nugget. You can see the okra in the pic for size reference. Shameful… but that’s what I get for trusting someone instead of checking my order before I left, although that was literally all I ordered.

5/2/22: I ordered the number 1 with 4 regular Express tenders, with fries and a roll. I ordered a side of fried okra to pair with the fries.
The chicken was crispy and tasted great, the fries were also crispy and salty, the okra was great as well. I ordered the 44 OZ Sweet Tea and it was cold and very sweet and delicious.

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Chicken Express in Odessa. I went to the store on 42nd st a couple days ago. The young man who took my order was very friendly. When I got the chicken strips, they looked like they were cooked last week, they tasted even worse as did the potatoes and biscuit .. the meal ended up being thrown in the trash. I would not recommend this place and I won’t be back it’s hard to believe that they are serving food that is that gross

Fish plate wasn’t good Fish was really thin and burned? They said all they do is set the time on 6 minutes wasn’t there fault? ,ordered a family meal got 1 large mashed potato and they gave me another small one? No corn, they even forgot the poppers?? They weren’t busy only two other ladies but they were all playing around not paying attention to customers? My first and last going there 121 42nd street I talked to one of the manager she was thinking it was me I ordered wrong? No thanks 3:16 am really early when I went.
