Hadn’t gone there since they burned my pizza a year a go. Went there for late morning breakfast yesterday and had a very big meat lovers stuffed hash brown and it was good. The dark coffee didn’t taste as dark as I liked but was okay. Was expecting the food to come out quickly because not many people were there and it came out very very fast so is pleased with that. Initially there were a few small flies bugging me but once I killed one the rest seemed to lose interest. Really nice atmosphere especially with all the big Windows letting light in. Every time I come here I order the same, simple iced latte. Without fail, every time I wait at least 30 minutes. Today, I waited 43 minutes for my 2 iced vanilla lattes. There was maybe around 13 people in the entire building including staff; all seated and waiting for their orders. I could not recommend this place less.

I like the backroom with the taps. Recall when the was the 218. Had a breakfast bagel and hot tea. Only one restroom, a unisex, so I had to wait to wash my hands, but it was clean and looked nice.

Arrived at the Sugar Shack at 11:10 am, there were tables available for seating, it didn’t seem too busy. When we went to order the cashier explained that if we wanted to order pizza it was going to be a minimum of 30 minutes to wait because there were 7 pizzas ahead of us. We decided to order something else because we thought it would be faster to not order pizza. I ordered the adult grilled cheese, and my friend ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. The total was $32. We were never given a wait time. We stood by the window thinking it would be maybe 10 to 15 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting I went and asked how much longer it would be, and they told me another 6 minutes. We ended up being there for a total of 37 minutes from walking in to walking out with our take-out food. When I received the bag of takeout food from the server I told her that it was a ridiculous amount of wait time and she barked back that if I was on a time crunch I should have called my order in. I told her that if I were given a wait time to begin with I would have made a better decision, but since she never said how long the wait was I wasn’t able to change my mind at that point. She then asked if I wanted pizza. I said no, I just wanted a wait time at the beginning and this could have all been avoided. Then she got all upset and snapped, “I don’t know what you want me to do?!”
The grilled cheese was extremely soggy on the bottom as you can see in the photo. I wasn’t able to get a picture of my friend’s salad as she went her separate way, but she did say that the lettuce was wilted. She said the cranberry bread was good. The bacon on my sandwich was fatty and didn’t taste that great. I didn’t eat the sandwich, unfortunately.
I am taking this as a learning experience and I hope they do as well.

I would give this 0 stars if possible! 2 years in a row now our cake order has been lost! I want to support the small business so this year I went in personally and ordered a cake. I was told Erin would call me with any questions and if a deposit was needed. I didn’t receive a call, so I assumed all was good. My mistake….I called this am to find out what time the cake will be ready and I am told the ticket was lost. The same thing last year except we had put a deposit down. We are done with Sugar Shack. The baker would not even take my call. Very poor customer service!

The Sugar Shack is the perfect spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch AND sweets. I made myself eat a salad before I ordered my bar, and you should too. Because that strawberry alas with feta is just as delicious as all their fab sweets! And all in a gorgeously remodeled corner building full of natural light! One visit you’ll be hooked.

I came in today to originally buy a coffee, and visit my girlfriend (the barista.) I was waiting for her to finish up the drinks she was making so I could order, I was waiting for about 5 minutes at the counter, then the owner came upstairs and said to me, “Ok you’ve been here long enough you can go now bye.” I tried to explain that I wasn’t there long, and was waiting to order, as did she, and I was still told to leave. All because Im dating the barista.

Quite a long wait to get 2 sandwiches but the food was quite good. Large portions as you can see so we took half home. All the treats and pizza looked good so we’ll be back to try more!

Walked in and such a warm and welcoming decor! Morgan Wallan playing overhead (owners favorite) which I love too. And the bathroom is so clean which is very pleasing to see ! The sink is the coolest ive seen in a resturant.
