Delicious ramen. We got their signature and it was so tasty and the noodles were cooked perfectly. We also had their croquettes and karage which were also very tasty. Deifntiely want to come back to try their other broths.

@baikohken_usa in San Diego got a super cozy vibe that’s perfect for a chill night out or a catch-up with friends.
It’s famous for its variety of broths – we’re talkin’ shio , creamy miso and refreshing shoyu, to name a few. And let’s not forget the food! Their crispy chicken karaage is a game-changer, with that perfect crunch giving way to juicy, flavorful chicken. But hold up, the sides are where it really shines – their croquette, takoyaki is a must-try, and those fries are straight fire! You gotta try ‘em.

Came here with my coworkers for a birthday lunch and had a pretty mixed experience. The highlight was easily the chicken karaage — crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Unfortunately, the ramen didn’t quite live up to expectations. The noodles themselves were spot on — great texture with that classic firm bite — but the broth was underwhelming and, surprisingly, not served hot enough. For a place with this reputation, that was disappointing.

Service, though, was excellent and very much in line with the polite attentiveness you’d expect from a Japanese spot. Still, if you’re after standout ramen in San Diego, I’d recommend Kitakata, Santouka, or even Tajima (yes, they’re good again!).

This was the best ramen I’ve had in a while! We went on a cooler day recently and it really hit the spot. We were also amazed with the decor of the resturant and were very happy we stumbled upon this place. We’ll definitely be back!

The shoyu ramen had a clean, deep flavor. Definitely Japan-level quality. The chasu was also very flavorful and perfectly executed. Will definitely be coming back.

Good shoyu ramen; deep broth and chewy noodles. I usually go for miso but tried shoyu. I’ll try miso next time.

I tried the spicy garlic bom! Ramen. It was really good and better Ramen then I have had in a while. It took me back to Japan for a minute. Also Sapporo draft was only $2.50 all day.. Check it out.

First time at this place. It’s been new to the area but established since 1969 in Japan. Rich, flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and perfect toppings.
They have great lunch deal and happy hours.
Generous portions, friendly staff, and great for satisfying ramen cravings!

The Ramen and the croquette are 5 stars. The deep fried gyoza I did not prefer. My husband and I really enjoyed the Shoyu and the Miso ramen! They have marinated bamboo shoots which are hard to find. These were delicious. The croquettes were perfect!
The staff were very accommodating, reservations are available here. The welcoming service reminds me of shops in Japan. Indoor seating only. No pets allowed.
Parking is a nightmare. I don’t recommend the parking lot it’s always crowded and if you are lucky and get a spot, you will wait forever trying to get out when you leave.

Update: I had the mazesoba and it was amazing.

We had the Tonkotsu and the Miso ramen. The Tonkotsu was like $24 but felt like it had less ingredients than the $15 Miso ramen. Both had really good broths. Next time I would opt for the miso ramen just because it is the same size with maybe a little bit more ingredients for about $10 less. I understand that Tonkotsu broth takes a long time and maybe the pork they are using is fancier but the Miso was better. This is one of the best Miso ramens you can get outside of Convoy! Pictured is the Tonkotsu.
