The two have been best friends since jr. high and their love for food and people is shown in what they do at Sugar & Smoke. You will not leave here hungry. Portion sizes are hearty! This restaurant features smoked meats, BBQ, burgers and more, but also serves delicious desserts! Located on Hwy 54 in Pittsfield, Illinois. 1258 W. Washington in Pittsfield, Illinois! Be sure and stop and shop the beautiful boutique next door too! We also have an outdoor patio that is pet friendly as long as the animal is on a leash and is friendly.

The the food was absolutely delicious, the price is a little more expensive.But the amount of food you get, it’s worth it!!,!! My first time there, the waitress was very knowledgeable on their products made sure we had everything we needed.Also, did it to go order for me.And went above and beyond, the business was absolutely busy.. So many people enjoying wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere,, decorated with some unique nostalgia,, definitely going back, had to take some food home. Took a to go order home,, i had the reuben, friends of mine had the pony shoe, on the other one, had the smash burger and fries can’t wait to go back and try both of those… The pony shoe looked amazing, got brisket and two sides to take home for another family member, the twice baked potato casserole and Mac and cheese… The only thing that I would like to see them do are sell their pulled pork or their brisket by the pound.. My to go order was the brisket sandwich, and we didn’t get the bread

In town for a band festival and saw good reviews here so we checked it out. So glad we did! Great service, great vibe, great food. We had the pulled pork sandwich and smoked Rueben. Sandwiches were very tasty and almost ridiculously portioned. I was full with just half of my Rueben. The 1000 Island dressing was delicious and probably made in house-very unique, and the fries were nice and crispy. Despite being full, we decided to get the pecan bread pudding for dessert because you don’t see that on menus very often. It was so delicious!

A shout out to the Hostess, Waitresses, & the Chefs, they all did a great job Saturday night. The Hostess was as nice as can be & she did a great job keeping things straight. The Waitress was very nice & did a great job keeping up with it being so busy. And to the Chef or Chefs the food was excellent. And to anybody I forgot you all did a great job. We always enjoy ourselves. Thank you for being such a great place to dine at. The prices are great too. Everyone should go & try it out.

My husband and I shared the Reuben sandwich with fries. The sandwich did not disappoint. The double layered meat had a wonderful flavor. The sauerkraut also had a smoked flavor. The French fries were crispy. The staff were very polite and the atmosphere was positive. We were seated right away and didn’t have long to wait for our delicious lunch. So if you are passing through Pittsfield, IL or have just enough time for lunch, this women owned restaurant will impress!

My in-laws brought my wife and I here as a special treat while we were visiting from Florida. I will say, “it was definitely a special treat”. The atmosphere was superb, the staff were crazy friendly, and the food (I had the Friday rib special) was superb. Both ribs and brisket were super tender and moist. Speaking of moist, get ready to indulge in the best corn cake (cornbread) you have ever had. Sweet potato fries we some of the best I have had. Back to the ribs…get them dry and enjoy that wonderful rub they use. Best ribs I have had dining out in forever. Next time…I save roo. For the Texas sheet cake.

I rarely give 5 ☆’s however, this restaurant was a whole vibe itself. When we walked in, we were greeted and seated promptly. There were areas to take selfies, cute decor, marketing on point 1000%, Tshirts, Homemade BBQ, we missed the pork rinds. The server went above and beyond for our 7 person table. All staff was super friendly! The kitchen presented perfect plates. You could definitely feel the love put into each item we ordered. Nothing too sloppy or dry. We ordered 2- Double Dumpster Fire Burgers, a Pork Mac Wrap w/ crinkle fries, a Big Ole Brisket Pony, and Brisket Mac n Cheese w/Sweet Potato Fries. Prices were reasonable. The seating arrangement of tables could transfer into any size for the number of people in your group. Very clean. The restrooms were well stocked. The only complaint I have is that we missed the white business sign 3 times against the sun going down and snow lol. It was worth every bit of our 3 hour round trip we made just to come here and visit our friends and being our first time here. Thank you for the amazing dining experience. If you are ever near Pittsfield Il, this is the place to be. Yum!

I was left stranded without food for 50 at a rehearsal dinner and the owner of this business stepped up providing food and guidance with short notice. She packed it up n a warmer so it could travel 90 minutes. When it arrived and we unpacked it was hot and delicious. Our guests from across Midwest and east coast were thrilled with the dinner. Some had traveled hours and this was their first meal and they were very much satisfied with quality and quantity. Excellent pulled pork and chicken, cheese potatoes, baked beans and strawberry poppy seed salad. Huge, impressive success. Thank you!!

I took my dad out on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and shopping. We are trying new restaurants we’ve never been to. I must say Sugar and Smoke hit a home run with us! We started with the breaded port Bella mushrooms. I had the sloppy joe pony shoe and dad had the pound baked potato with brisket. OMG please let me tell you about this food! The mushrooms were amazing! Crispy and hot and fresh and you get like a whole pound for 10 dollars! What a deal! Then the pony shoe was amazing. I have never had sloppy joe like this anywhere but my house. I was very happy with my food. My dad also loved his potato and brisket. It was amazing also. We then had the praline bread pudding. Also amazing! The owner was wonderful to talk to and our server was on point and did a great job! Over all I give this place 20 stars outta 10 can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for your great service and food!
