I love Mexican food and go to all of the Mexican restaurants in the area, as well as in New Jersey and this one has my favorite margaritas and salsa. The food is always really good too. It’s a bit small so it can be crowded but it’s so worth it. Also, my seven month old son loves their re-fried beans.

Maybe next time it may be different, never got my order of taco .. but, I guess it was busy with take outs.. maybe next time more Bar attention/service … the only had 2 tables to waiter .. Best sangrias.

Two adults ate lunch here on a Monday afternoon in late September and had a great meal. One of us had the Bistec Burrito (with enough left over to take home for dinner) and the other had the Enchilades Mosqueteras platter. The total was about $49 with tax less tip. Note they do charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. Excellent table service. We will return again the next time we visit relatives in the area.

We have been eating at Tulcingo for several years. Our last visit was pretty disappointing in food quality. The Pollo Oaxaqueno was poor – the chicken was a dry tough plank. The cactus, which is usually delicate and a great side, was also tasteless and dry.
I had a chicken enchilada dish that was ok, but the rice and beans were flavorless. The beans were watery… ?
I don’t know about going back – I’m wondering if they changed cooking staff or suppliers? I hope they get their game back.
