We have never been here before and the gf was craving sushi. We are new to Edmond so we gave it a try. The place looked very clean. Bathroom was spectacular. The sushi was good, the gf loved the eggrolls. The crab lagoon was very very good. I will certainly order it again. I took 1 star bc my gf killed a roach by the fountain area on the floor. I look at her bc her eyes got really big and stomped on it. Now I didnt freak out bc the place looked extremely clean and its in a strip mall. If you lived in apts, you know if a building has roaches, they will travel thru electrical outlet or anywhere they can go. So im not too worried about it, but def putting it in the review. Will prob go back. Food was very good.

Just picked up sushi rolls and some beef lo mein. The beef tastes days old and it is hard and badly overcooked. The sushi rolls were really fishy smelling and I doubt this fish is fresh. This location is normally pretty good, but today it was awful.

Service always quick and staff very nice. Highly recommend the 911 roll for a cleaner option without all the extra calories. Lots of protein and tasty! In photo is the 911 roll (I like to add avocado). I also ordered the thunder roll which is a fully cooked roll with tempura shrimp and avocado with crab on top.

This was terrible. Let me tell you why. I have 4 points I’d like to make.
1. The lady taking the order seemed like she had 6 double espresso shots. She talked so fast it was so annoying. Now before you call me and arse for picking on people my point is this. If that’s you, a fast talker and a go getter that’s fine. What ever. But when a customer is continuously asking you “what” and “can you say that again” and “huh?” Then read the room lady SLOW DOWN. And it wasn’t just me. Other people before and after me had similar responses.
2. We ordered starters. From the STARTER menu. They came out after the sushi rolls. Also the miso soup came out after the sushi. I asked them to take it back because. IT’S A STARTER and I asked that they bring it later because I didn’t want my sushi to sit on the table DYING while I eat my soup and I didn’t want to eat cold soup after I ate my sushi. IT’S A STARTER!!
3. This is a sit inside restaurant they also they have take out, but they can easily sit 30-40 people. They serve sushi in boxes??? Really???? Seriously??? That is so disrespectful to sushi. You should never serve sushi in a box to someone sitting in your restaurant. Give me a physical break.
4. The food it’s self. Lettuce wraps were mediocre at best. The filling was fine but it all CAME IN A BOX and made the box soggy. The rice in the rolls was dry and not good. The fish was okay at best. The food over all a C- I know this is Oklahoma but we have great sushi here and this should be better. Especially at $80 for three for a lunch.
Back to the miso soup. When they brought it out after the rolls I asked them to take it back and we will eat it at the end. No problem. I’m flexible. When I went up to get it 20-30 minutes later. The same paper cups were sitting on the counter. They tried to give them to me. Seriously? Cold miso soup? At this point I asked for my money back for 2 of them. My son still wanted it and I asked them for a fresh cup. By the way. It was terrible. Bland.
All in all this restaurant is terrible. Stay away. They don’t want you to eat inside. They want you to take it with you. I’m sorry. Maybe I’m a purist but sushi should be eaten within minutes of being made. If you want take out, that’s on you but a restaurant should not be set up for you to take terrible sushi home to eat.

I came to Nhinja with great expectations based on some folks experience. I am thoroughly disappointed. Their service is fine and it is a nice little restaurant, bit the Sushi and rolls were not good at all. The thing that tanked it for me was the rice. Sushi rice should be light and sweet. Theirs was undercooked and was like a brick of rice. The fish did not taste fresh, and not good quality at all.

It’s a pleasant atmosphere. A television with sports and one with cartoons so the technologically addicted will be amused.
Restaurant is very clean.
Staff is having a great time while they cook and make sushi, lots of laughter. Makes a nice place to eat.
Also, right now there is a pumpkin patch in the parking lot!
