Hit or miss. The food can be really good but not everything is always fresh. My plantains, for example, were hard and stale with an aftertaste the last 3 times. They’ve been extremely tasty a few times, but I think I’m done trying here. Wait times are extremely long. They seem to prioritize completing online orders first, even if 5 people are waiting inside or you purchase in store and the food in your order is already made. It took over 40 minutes to get an order of jollof and plantains put in containers.

Okay I had several problems. 1 I came here especially for the EGUSI SOUP. I got it…. it was gritty and no meat. NO MEAT! NO BONE, NO FISH. OKAY! 2 The young lady that took my order put on gloves to fix my food. But then a customer came in and she took his order in the gloves. But she really didn’t touch my food. I went to this place because of the reviews on the egusi soup. If you stay ready you ain’t gots to get ready! First impressions! I’m a gone and stick with Yassa! And them Plaintains Dry and tasteless and the fufu don’t need a taste.

Wouldn’t recommend. Not worth the shitty customer service. I called before driving and asked the lady if they had suya. She told me that I couldn’t order it over the phone and that if I came in, they would make it. That should’ve been my sign to go somewhere else. 30 mins later I get to the restaurant and she tells me, it’s too late for them to make suya because it takes a really really long time. I had just called 30 mins before, if it took a really really long time, it would’ve taken longer than the 30 mins it took me to get there which means she told me to come up there to order, knowing it couldn’t be made. Don’t gaslight me. Wasted my gas for nothing. The rest of the food looked like it had been sitting. Plenty of other places you could go instead with better food & service!

I have been to a lot of Nigerian restaurants. This place is overly priced now With the rice your supposed to get a protein with it. She was charging for the fish 350each piece of meat that you wanted. I asked her how much would the plantain be? She told me 5.00 dollars. you could go to the store and get a Plantain 85 cent OK let’s get into the egui was like grits real gritty and didn’t have enough spinach in it. She has too much palm oil and her food is very greasy. Be careful it’ll be a while. She needs to change her prices and just charge one price for everything but the food wasn’t that good to me.

Authentic African Cuisine! As an American, if you have never been to Africa, you can not truly rate this place. I am an American fresh from the motherland, and when I say I found the perfect representation of the food that I ate in Nigeria. Tasty and fresh! My order: Egusi Soup (No Peppe sauce added on top), Cow Leg, Beef tripe, Ofada stew, Chicken fried rice, and Pounda yam. Even had leftovers!!!
Clean environment and excellent customer service! I will definitely be back o . Bye for now ☺️❤️

I’ve been wanting to try African cuisine for a super long time and I think I happened on a gem. I had the goat pepper soup and it was amazing I added fufu and was surprisingly delighted. The service was okay cashier should try to be a little more personable but whatever. The food made up for it

I came here with my friend a while back and we loved it! The food was so delicious and the two gentlemen behind the counter were both friendly. We both got jollof rice with 4 pieces of chicken and I ordered some puff puff. Every bite was so good and one of the workers was friendly enough to bring me some food I had forgotten at the counter. It was quiet in the restaurant with some sports being played on the TV. Customers going in and out for pick up orders. We were able to stay and talk for a while without hassle, which means a lot to a couple of friends who don’t get to see each other all the time. We will definitely be back.

I ordered food for my 2 sons and I. Food portions were nice and everything was delicious. I cant speak on the atmosphere because I ordered through Instacart and had it delivered. Food was still hot when it was delivered and we ate twice from the order.
Oh ,I forgot the only mistake was I didn’t get the goat meat I ordered but it was refunded.

I called in for a order of the goat pepper soup way ahead of time and I think it wasn’t prepared until I got there because they asked me when I would be there and not given a time to pick up. The flavor was just exactly what I was seeking for the night however there was little to no goat MEAT in the dish. Mainly goat? Skin, organs, and chewy gristle! I was hesitant when he told me 19$ over the phone and asked if the portion was of good size and if there would be meat. The man says it’s decent so I gave it a try. While there I noticed signs that said no refund or exchanges which let’s me know they can give out mediocre food or not what you order and can not return it. Yikes! I was so upset because African restaurants are hard to find and when you do they get over and laugh about it smh. I would suggest SESI AFRICAN GROCERY for actually decent price and food. The price I paid here19$ I could have paid there for two soups there 7$(no lie) unless it’s changed and get some actual MEAT. SESI was closed so I will wait for them to open Tuesday anything I feel cheated so won’t go there again. I would post pics if I knew how smh.
