Ordered a double cheeseburger to-go, and it was delicious. Complimentary soft drink from the casino fountain machine, but you need to be 21 to enter the restaurant.

My grilled chicken sandwich was burnt some on both sides. Fries were great. Speed wasn’t a priority but it was past 1am so I was patient since they were open so late on a Sunday night.

The food was not good. Had the fish and chips and frozen would have been better although the fries were the best part.
They had no malt vinegar for the fish, but did give us malt vinegar salad dressing…ok?

I’ve gone here the last four years throughout maybe once or twice a year and it’s the same service the whole entire time nobody wants to work everybody’s on their phone. The rudest customer service they don’t wanna talk to you or give you what your food is I had just five drinks ordered for Red Bulls and it took them 30 minutes to give it to me. That is ridiculous and bad customer service Altogether just don’t come here. Customer service is beyond nonexistent.

My avocado vegetarian sandwich was rather tasty however the bun was mealy and easily fell apart. The onion rings tasted as if they had sat around a while before arriving on my plate.
My partners meal was described on the menu as beef brisket but turned out to be shredded beef steeped in a heavy BBQ sauce piled on a plate.

The Lodge was hot and miserable again throughout the day and evening. The staff advised the heat could not be turned off, that the heating system was broken. Was like a sauna. Hot air was blowing on high speed. Could not enjoy eating there and safety of buffet food sitting out in such high temperatures was of concern. Did not see anyone eating at Jakes. We left. Too miserably hot!

On our two night stay in Blackhawk, we found ourselves coming back here once each day. The food is delicious (chicken tacos, philly cheese, burgers, fries, and nacho supreme) and they give you so much for your money, promise you won’t leave hungry!! The staff is very friendly too! Great place all around!
