Reviews
I was promptly greeted at the door, paid for my buffet, quickly seated in a booth, and received wonderful service!!! I asked the young man his name, but my apologies. I couldn’t spell it, but he was so super kind!!!
I truly enjoyed my meal, and to my surprise, I tried the coconut shrimp and noodles and… WOW DELICIOUS!!!!
I will most definitely come back again.
However, the food selection was pretty limited, with about a third being American-style dishes rather than Chinese options. The food itself was okay but not very memorable overall. It’s decent for a quick meal, but I was hoping for more variety and better quality.
Foodie:
A person having an enthusiastic interest in the preparation and consumption of good food…
Most people eat with their eyes first and I’m no exception. So hopefully my review may help to improve on the cons:
Pros: Fully stocked buffet
Looks neat(appearance is everything)
Variety of selections on a Friday dinner time (after 2:45 pm) ($17.00 was surprising for this dinner menu, but it’s new so)
Cons: The crab body/ leg/claw portions(very small half body with claw & legs) meat dry inside not moist… seems the crab was baked. The meat stuck to insides and difficult to get to..I asked for the gadget to break the claw(was provided promptly), still the meat dry tasteless… the cocktail sauce helped a little.
Seating: too close proximity to other guests but I guess they had to make use or maximize the space they had. No, I have no issues with being around others but a little more coziness would have been delightful. I see there’s another section I guess privacy dining …maybe I’ll see if I can get that if not full another time.
Cheese-n-Mac: I just knew I’d bite into some cheddar cheesy goodness , but it tasted bland/ plain….Tasteless.
Must pay before being seated, but if take out you pay afterwards(because plate is weighed…. Understandable)… the old restaurant(China Buffet) you paid afterwards.
Label read “Shrimp of egg foo young,” but on examining the item on my plate I saw no shrimp, just onions and what looked like tiny portions of soft scrambled eggs. Disappointed in no shrimp egg foo young as label read at the buffet.
So I hope if management gets to see this it will be viewed with open heart and improved.
I hope to return….. but maybe not right away.
They have great food.
A good selection to choose from, I tried pretty much everything, put a small portion of each item n taist before I fill my plate. I hate when people fill their plates before they taste it, it can taste different at each place, because they don’t eat it, I hate waisting food.
Beans, sweet n sour chicken batter was good, not to much where you can’t find the chicken inside. Sauce was good.
Loved the frog legs.the strawberry icecream has bits of strawberry’s in it, love that.
Only things I didn’t care for:
Broccoli in Broccoli n chicken and beef (beef a little dry) are both overcooked, but it still tastes great.
Egg drop soup is really bright yellow, we all (4) didn’t care fore it.
Salt n pepper crabs are dry, and they didn’t taste freash kinda muddy.
I wish they had almond cookies for dessert. Every Chinese buffet I’ve gone to has had them, I wish they add it to their dessert area.
