I was so excited to find that a new Japanese restaurant opened up so I had to try it for lunch. The food was awesome. Meet the owner he was so nice the staff was great. I enjoyed everything so delicious. I will returned in less than a week for to try the dinner menu amazing and the owner recognized me after only one visit. That says a lot.

Im hoping the hibachi is better.
The waiter was pretty good, attentive, friendly, if he didnt know something about the menu he would go and ask.
Got the shiro pork ramen, pork was tender, could of used more bok choy and sprouts. The broth was super oily and made it inedible/drinkable when the solids were gone. A chili oil was brought out, cold and was basically vegetable oil with chili powder caked in the bottom, was not good for something fairly easy to make. Shumai was ok, again, the sauce needs work. Mochi for dessert, the shell was off, was more like a tortilla than a rice wrap.
Full bar with a decent liquor, wine and beer selection. Apps and drinks could maybe be a good time here.

I went in to order takeout for lunch. The Calmari was horrible. I couldn’t even finish it, from it being overcooked & to tough to chew (maybe frozen then deep fried.) I also got the Scallops hibachi. The scallops were chewy, vegetables and noodles were bland. No flavor. The salad was just lettuce and dressing. Mediocre at best.

We had dinner with friends last night and the food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic! We really liked how they renovated the inside making it feel much more open. We had a party of 6 and not once did anyone need to ask for a refill or plates to be cleared. Between all of us we had steak, shrimp, chicken, scallops, and filet…. All were super tasty and cooked to perfection! The fire show at the end was a great way to finish! We will definitely be back!

This is the new Japanese Restaurant on Cherry Road in Rock Hill. Absolutely great food. Mango the bartender and server was fantastic. Sit at a table for lunch or come in at dinner time to enjoy the show. This is as good if not better and Kobe on Celenese. The large silver thing is a smoker for pulled pork.

We just had our first experience here, and everything was amazing from start to finish! Mit was our waitress and was super attentive, as well as very personable. She made us feel like we were important and even threw some jokes in every once in a while 🙂 Hollywood was our hibachi chef and he was equally amazing! He was very engaging, put on a good show, and made amazing food! We had the filet mignon, shrimp, and lobster hibachi, as well as the shrimp tempura appetizer and two different flavors of the hot sake. I literally can’t pick a best dish because everything was great. This is one of our new date night spots, and I highly recommend!

This was my first time ever trying them and I gotta say.. I’ve had some pretty good hibachi over the years but Tokyo Japan right here in Rockhill.. absolutely amazing, by far the best in my opinion. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, server was very cool, attentive and even helped offer recommendations. This has been truly one of the best experiences. I will definitely be back, thank yall!

Stopped for anniversary dinner tonight and it was such a treat!! Service was amazing and all of the food was piping hot and delicious. The pork belly ramen was so flavorful and the chicken/steak hibachi was cooked perfectly.

This place does not even deserve 3 stars. I depended on this place for Valentine’s Day for my date and I made a reservation online, got it booked, and there was no complications. But, when I get there they say I have to wait 15 minutes because the website wasn’t supposed to take reservations less than 5 people. I feel like the host was just playing me cause he had to ask me 4 times in a row what my name was because he couldn’t understand that my name is “Favio” like if he had never heard a foreign name before.

They finally sit us down with three other couples that were on the same boat as me, had a reservation but then were disappointed by the news that they actually didn’t have a reservation. I understand it was busy and it was Valentine’s Day so we were patient with the time. Instantly though, I was met with complications because we were offered hot or cold sake and we obviously wanted cold. But when we received the sake, we had noticed it was gross, watered down, and it had ice cubes in it. So we asked the waitress if she can just take it off our check and she told me she had to talk to the manager lol. The waitress was super nice but I noticed she tried to talk to a manager in the distance and he completely rushed her off saying “ask her! ask her!” in which the waitress replied with “I already did!”. She comes back to tell me that she can’t take it off the check because it already hit the table so she offered me if I wish to SPEAK to the manager and I told her “can we do that please?”. Finally the manager arrives and I wanted to keep this lowkey because we were at a table with people we didn’t know but the manager approached the table with an ugly demeanor and said “um so someone here had a question” and I obviously raised my hand and explained to her my troubles and she responded very entitled saying “Yea, we can’t take it off the check because it already hit the table. We can serve you hot sake.” In which I replied “I don’t like Hot Sake and I don’t wish to continue drinking this watered down sake.” And she responded with “Well we don’t usually serve cold sake because putting ice cubes is how we chill it, but I can chill it for you” and confused I asked her “well are you just going to put ice back in it because if that’s the case why didn’t you chill it in the first place” and she responded very angrily saying “That’s how we do it here, we don’t serve cold sake!” in which my girlfriend budged in saying “then why were offered cold sake then?!” and THE MANAGER just decided to start going back and forth with us in an argument in which another, I guess, management staff had to stop her and tell her it’s fine we can just take it off. But at that point I was infuriated with the first manager that I decided to get up and leave. They had embarrassed me and my girlfriend in front of a group of strangers who I was very considerate of not getting in the way of their night but ultimately I did end up making them uncomfortable. So, I’m sorry to the other couples but this place has the WORST customer service ever and the food quality I heard was not that good according to other reviews and I can see why because we didn’t even get to the hibachi and we were stomping out the door because they wanted to play me by serving me tap water sake with alcohol. Please. They tried to make a fool out of me. I can tell management isn’t in agreement and they overwork their servers. I hope they lose their business because of how awful they treat their customers. And the others that were there were complaining about their watered down beverages and questionable salad, I was told by my girlfriend who overheard them. This is a despicable place.

We came in with reservation of a large party to celebrate a birthday. The party was split between 2 chefs and 2 member of wait staff. The children (teens ranging from 13-15) on 1 side and the parents on the other. There was no issue with this. Our (the parents) male waiter was attentive and very personable. He even helped us determine the best options as we were going to do the share option amongst the groups. The teens on the other hand were not met with the same enthusiasm as our side of the party from their female waitress. She was very short in her communication, even interrupting our waiter while taking our side’s order to vocalize her feelings on the situation. Our teens received their salads/soups much later as well as received a much shorter meal prep and sense of enthusiasm from their chef. There were no refills on that side of the table or check-ins to see if anything else was needed.

I understand that gratuity is added when you bring a large group in to an established but in this case, it was not earned for half of our party. I do not expect perfection from any experience but equal effort is always appreciated. There was a clear division in the services rendered by both the female wait staff member as well as the chef on that side. I do only wish that our children could have had the same experience we were given.
