First, the service was amazing. They were very attentive and polite.
To drink, I ordered a house margarita with tajin seasoning on the rim, and it was one of the best margaritas I have ever had.
For lunch, I was recommended the birria ramen, which I have never had before, and it blew my mind. It was an amazing dish and great for cold weather.
The owner, Carlos, came by to make sure my order was correct and to see if there was anything he could get me. We had a great conversation. I cannot wait to go back to Mobile to give them more business!
They completely changed their concept. Now their food is more expensive (for lunch/ for the nachos is extra to add meat ), took forever to get our food. The food is not as good as it was. I’m guessing they changed management. Will not be going back.
OLD REVIEW–I usually go during lunch. I have enjoyed it every time. I like that you can order upfront and they bring your food right away. They serve a lot of food too. I like their horchata as well.
-Food tasted fantastic, literally everyone at the table was 100% satisfied with the flavor of their food. Would rate it higher but it’s a little pricy for the amount of food you. Not pictured are the churros which were by FAR my favorite thing from the entire night. They were delicious
Service: 4.0/5
-Service was nice, nothing crazy. You just look up at the menu and look what you want and order at the register up front or they’ll hand you a menu you can view.
Atmosphere: 3.5/5
-Plenty of seating including at the bar & patio. Decorated nicely. Only reason for the lower rating is because I about blew my ankle out walking in the bathroom because the floors felt like someone had rubbed grease all over it. I get it if maybe something was spilled but from the door, to the urinal, to the sink, all slick. Definitely needs to get resolved so no one falls and gets hurt.
The service otherwise is kind of nonexistent since you order at the counter and then there’s food runners that bring you your order. The food I ordered was excellent flavor but felt expensive for being served on paper and metal baking sheets. It felt like they bottom dollared everything they could: order at the counter, get your own drinks, add on a side of you want chips and salsa, no servers. But still the same prices as competitors.
First off you order when you walk in and pay. Then go get your drink. No chips and salsa are served. I had 2 tacos and a quesadilla. They tasted exactly the same. Same greasy meat. The taco did have lattice and tomato with some cheese. Food was very greasy. My plate was dripping with it. I couldn’t finish the quesadilla. My first and last time eating there. There are better places to eat.
I will start off by saying they have the best burria tacos I have ever had and the dip sauce is a 10/10 taste like ox tail gravy lol the corn shell style that is the best thing they have here in my personal opinion
For a Mexican restaurant I will say they have the absolute worse salsa I have ever tasted in my life it’s so bland and watered down also the queso is not good like I feel like the queso being included in so many of the dishes throws them off for me the queso is like a 4/10 for me
Great customer service everyone is very nice and friendly the kids eat free on wednesdays great to get out house I also like their French fry’s very simple and good
