The bento boxes were reasonably sized with a nice assortment of options and items. The miso soup was good and the wakame seaweed salad was good. I tried the CuCu roll which was fresh and refreshing. I had a veggie yaki soba which was delicious. Additionally somehow the avocado roll was somehow particularly good!

The restaurant was pretty busy although not that many people were dining in.

Update: we came back again and we were just as satisfied. I think I need to bring a bigger appetite for the next trip!

We had dinner with our friends on Sunday night and was seated immediately. The service was good and our server checked on us several times.

– California roll: good decent rolls but the portion was rather small.
– Tonkatsu & california roll bento box: the pork cutlet tasted good and crunchy but the cut was very thin. For dinner price, the portion was small and my hubby was still hungry after finishing his bento.
– Saba shioyaki & tempura bento box: the fish was good but they only gave 3 small pieces. The salad dressing was good though and the veggie tasted fresh. The tempura pieces were crunchy and well cooked. But again, the portion was small and I was still hungry after the meal.

The taste & service were good but the price & portion were not that I expected so it’s 3.5 stars for me.

I used to have a 4 star review here, but over time we find ourselves coming back time and time again, because the service is always fast and friendly.

The sushi dishes might not be quite as good as a certain area favorite beginning with “M”, but the sushi is very good, there is always way less stress, it’s quieter, the wait staff is more friendly, and so we find ourselves here probably 9 out of 10 times we go out for sushi. We never regret it.

Highly recommended if you’re out for a good, solid, friendly sushi joint.

Excellent sushi! Really loved my Combo B (pictured) of assorted nigiri (which was fresh and clean – high quality), accompanied by delicious “rainbow rolls” (salmon, shrimp, avocado). My dining companion enjoyed her California rolls (I got to try one – it was very good). My new favorite sushi place! Bento boxes and cooked food are available as well. My combo B plate was about $15. An order of California rolls is about $5. Recommended with the highest enthusiasm.

Sushi didn’t tasted good at all. Staff was nice but brought dirty and bent fork. 30 bucks down the toilet, not coming back here again, not sure why they have decent reviews but seems like mostly old people come here they probably expect less.

The sushi was really good. Fresh and the rice on the rolls was minimal, which I like. But the calamari was poor quality and the restroom smelled awful!

Great food! Creative rolls that you definitely don’t see on every Japanese menu. A little on the pricier side for sushi but absolutely worth it

The service was great and the restaurant was extremely clean. Big red flag though when it’s a weekend and the parking lot is empty and so is the restaurant. I still decided to give it a chance. The rules are extremely small and overpriced, it was around $30 for two tiny rolls, miso soup and a Pepsi before tip. Everything tasted bland and not fresh at all, some of the fish actually tasted like it was old. I honestly had to force myself to down everything and I had to do it in between Pepsi shots because it wasn’t good. I used to live in Japan and and I know good authentic sushi and this definitely is not it. The service was great though, the restaurant was extremely clean and everybody was happy to see you, they greeted you when you came in and out. But the sushi was pretty bad. As for the miso soup, it was great and that was the only thing I actually enjoyed from the food. I’m not sure where all these high star reviews are coming from, but people don’t know sushi. It’s also the only sushi restaurant in Granite Bay so that could be the reason why people keep going, no other options.
