Daydrink is a cozy local gem in Iowa City. Their coffee is excellent, I ordered an oat milk latte, and it was smooth, balanced, and full of flavor. I also tried their coffee cake, which is clearly popular because it sells out fast! Seating is limited since the space is small, but that actually adds to its charm. We even ended up standing at the bar, which turned out to be a fun experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the visit even better. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

I’ve been trying to get around to all the coffee shops in the area and I started here. The shop is pretty small but it is super adorable. I do think it would be annoying to try to find parking but if you walk it’s not a problem.
I tried the get figgy with it and it is amazing. All of their drinks sounded great and pretty creative so I definitely want to go back and try more. It’s really cool having more then just the typical coffee shop options.
Staff was super friendly and I was served quickly.
If you bring your own cup for coffee or bring back one of their glass jars you get a dollar off.

DayDrink is a hidden Iowa City jem!! The coffee and matcha are superbly delicious, not to mention their customer service is impeccable. I love the small, cozy atmosphere.
Don’t be shocked if you come in during a busy rush, coffee this good should be shared. The wait is worth it! Also, if you plan to take your drink to go, expect to purchase a $1 cutie reusable jar, if you forget your favorite tumbler at home.

My wife and I have a little thing we do called “coffee dates in every state” we chose Daydrink as our coffee stop in Iowa. Hands down one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! We tried the Pumpkin PB Pie 1000/10. We also loved that the drink was served in a little glass jar eliminating unnecessary waste!

Traveling through Iowa City from out of state and saw Day Drink was highly recommended so we stopped by. Who could’ve guessed that I would have the best coffee drink of my life. I can’t recall the name but the latte has fresh orange zest and it was sublime. The drinks served in glass jars was such a nice touch and the two baristas were so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

Day Drink is amazing! I grabbed a 4-shot espresso on ice and the Plain Jan — both were absolutely perfect. The espresso was smooth, bold, and had that rich flavor that hits just right. The Plain Jan was simple but so good — fresh, balanced, and exactly what you want from a great coffee spot. The vibe inside is chill, the service is fast and friendly, and everything just feels elevated without being pretentious.

Great local roaster specializing in light roasted coffee. My espresso shot was dialed in and well balanced. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean and relaxing atmosphere, good coffee and fun signature drinks, and all motivated by ethical values. Highly recommend stopping in at least once.

Customer service was amazing! The girl who helped me gave great recommendations and was very friendly. I got the Fru Fru Matcha with vanilla + oat milk and it was phenomenal. I was impressed with the glass jars, I also ordered the whipped ricotta toast and that was great as well.
