Reviews
The food is delicious . They have combos which I like because I like to sample just about everything. On my visit I had the fish, shrimp, and fried oysters. All FRIED! Don’t judge me lol. My fav was the oysters. They have a variety of sauces and they serve beer in addition to water and soft drinks. Oh, the fries are good good. The fries are peeled potato strips. Definitely try them when you go. Don’t forget the salt, pepper and ketchup. That’s the Marylander in me lol.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming. From the way they operate, this place screams family business and they treat you as such. Love it!
Parking is free and plentiful. You have zero excuses. Come and experience this gem in St. John’s County FL.
UPDATE: you can respond and try to point this on me all you want. I’m not going to let you try to talk your way around that the food was terrible. That’s not anyone faults other than the business. This is just letting people know so if they don’t listen to my review and go and have the same experience they won’t be shocked like I was. If I wanted a response I would have wasted my time contacting the business, but no matter the response it wasn’t going to change the food I was served. Therefore I’m just doing my part and letting the hard working people to spend their hard earned money somewhere else.
The owner (Dori, i think) was there working. She was so hospitable. The food is made-to-order and the menu is small.
Lobster Roll
Fried shrimp, fried Cod, fried clam strips. Handhelds as well with the same fish.
We got the lobster roll with onion rings with an add of clay strips and a shrimp basket.
The clams were fried perfectly and not at all chewy. The lobster roll was good. The star IMO was the shrimp. Lightly battered and gently fried. Onion rings were good but very crunchy. Coleslaw is delicious; someplace between a cool Creamy slaw and a vinegary slaw. So good!
Desserts are made in house by the owner and so good! Definitely a must try spot!
