Took a chance at this storefront location and was immensely rewarded. Got a General Tso lunch special, and, a Curry Chicken with Onions (and other vegetables) lunch special for $7.25 each. (Then, now looking at $8.95 plus tax for all Lunch Special items except for three that are higher priced.)

The containers were PACKED. No skimping on the chicken. The containers had half of each along with the pork fried rice I ordered. The rice had white onions and beans sprouts in it too. The pork was nice and fresh, and in chunks.

The General Tso’s chicken was nice and moist, and came with three broccoli crowns. I’d prefer more spicy heat though. (The Sesame Chicken is similar but without the heat. See 5/2025 photo.)

The Curry Chicken was great and also came with julienned carrots, green bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, snow peas, and, celery. The Curry was very flavorful and had a nice mild kick. (P.S.: The Szechuan Chicken at this place is also basically the same ingredients but comes in a brown sauce. This is how they do things with most veggies. See photo.)

The Curry Chicken also held up well as a next morning bite to eat.

*NEW!!!* Got the Boneless Pork Ribs. It’s candied pork butt with the pork fried rice (as usual, see rice description). Be sure to ask for a side of hot chili oil. (Then every dish can become truly HOT AND SPICY.) New pics added below.

The dining area was basic but there was a steady stream of customers as I ate in during the 2 p.m. hour.

I would eat here again! This is a good storefront place!

P.S., This review still holds, I visited today, 3/3/2026.

Was not happy with our food order… the general tsos chicken was not good at all; not proper breading and was not crispy at all and also dry. The vegetable lo mein was made with what tasted and felt like spaghetti noodles. Not at all like the normal lo mein noodles other restaurants use. Will not be ordering again.

I’ve been coming here for years, being as I live near. Food used to be good, but they have fallen off. I ordered a sweet and sour shrimp, and it was awful. I have never seen it made this way. shrimp was nothing but fried dough, sauce was put on the side not on the food, and no vegetables. Totally disappointed and a waste of money. Maybe they switched chefs because the food is not the same. Will not be back.

I’ve been going to China House for several years. Often picking up food for myself or work colleagues. Food is always very good, fresh and reasonably priced. Everyone is always very pleased with the food. I usually get won ton soup, ribs, shrimp with lobster sauce for one of the chicken dishes (Hunam or Szechuan). Portions are big and the food delicious!

Food was delicious, the chicken was tender, lean, slightly crispy, it also was saucy , the rice to chicken ratio was 60/40 so there’s bang for your buck, the rice has a soy sauce flavor but it’s ok, the general toas , isn’t sweet nor is it spicy, but it’s a very unique meal egg roll was delicious, platter was 10.50 useing a credit card but this is worth every penny , cashier was very polite, food came out very quickly , veggies are fresh .. I enjoyed this meal
