Wonderful bbq restaurant. This place is absolutely amazing! The special brisket sandwich was so tasty. After a long day on the trail this place was exactly what I needed for a good lunch.

Cute little coffee, breakfast, and lunch place!

Came to Lake city earlier this year and most stores were not opened. Thankfully this coffee shop does!

I visited the place twice while my stay last week. First time visit, it was great and I had an Irish cream latte hot 16 oz. The young lady made a solid hot latte. However, second visit, I tried the 16 oz Caramel Macchiato hot, and it was a disappointment. The older lady made the coffee this time. I paid for 16 oz cup of coffee, and I actually got a 12 oz of coffee. The coffee cup was filled with foam and only 12 oz of actual content. The cup was light. I took a pic and you can see how empty the coffee cup was. Also, I barely tasted any caramel or vanilla in the caramel macchiato. Needless to say, it was very disappointed the second time around.

However, it is a little cute coffee and foods place in town and still recommend!

Good food, but probably the rudest owners I’ve ever met. They also close at random times from running out of food or just because. Of course you then get a huge attitude for asking. Not a very relaxing atmosphere. I’d highly recommend going to the north side of town and having breakfast/ early lunch at Euphoria Breakfast Hangout. The food was great and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fast free internet too!
***addition*** want to be completely honest here. When we got home I tried the bottle of BBQ sauce i bought the owner makes from scratch. It was some of the best BBQ sauce I’ve had in a long time! Smokey, just the right spice, peppery, full of flavor. Had it on pulled pork. Was amazing. I prob won’t eat there again but I’d seriously consider buying more of their sauce.

The brisket sandwiches were very good. Good BBQ sauce and a good amount of meat. The vanilla iced Chai was also very good. Small place, so if there’s a crowd, be patient, it’s worth it.

Disappointed. We stopped in for breakfast and we all four had the burrito bowls. The food tasted fine. However the hash browns at the bottom of the bowl were the frozen type and they microwaved them. They were still cold and almost still frozen. The portion size was very small for the price compared to the other locals eateries. We will not go back and give them another chance.

The BBQ was so good and at a good price. The bun was perfect and toasted so well I had the pulled pork which was soft and juicy. A little cramped inside but the outdoor seating is nice.

Mocha is average. Nothing special and not very flavorful. Biggest issue was I ordered a 20oz iced mocha. Asked twice after seeing the cup and assured it was despite seeing larger cups behind the counter. $6 and turns out it only holds 16 oz.

The cashier was very nice I didn’t catch her name. But she was the best part about this facility.
I got a pulled brisket sandwich. It was nasty, disgusting. My bread fell apart in the worst way. I saw the cook put a bunch of butter on the grill and put the buns on, but immediately took them off so they were just swimming in butter not toasted, just enough time to absorb that butter.
Next the meat was very abnormal tasting, wasn’t sure if it was their sauce but the entire experience was a falling apart soggy disgusting mess. 15.97 for this sandwich with no sides. Not even an offer of mac n cheese, potato salad. A real bbq joint. Yall charge Breckenridge prices but w colfax mentality. After climbing a 14er I would love a good meal, and this is not the place.

Awesome spot, the food is totally Texas authentic and the couple that runs the place are very accommodating.

It was the perfect rest on our road trip through Colorado.
