Just went here for the first time and it was great! We got a shrimp po boy and wings. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent! We had a great time. It’s a beautiful space with lots of natural light , plenty of space between tables, and some seating for larger groups too. They thought of everything! Shoutout to Jess for excellent customer service ❤️

In town on my way to Burning Man, I stayed at a nearby hotel and decided to get a hearty meal before getting into the desert. The team is so friendly, I love the West Coast vibe. Coming from northern Europe, I sometimes miss the American friendliness. I had the Reno Bar burger, and it was fantastic. I enjoyed every bit of it, including the hand-cut fries. The staff helped me pick a
Local beer: It was spot on and exactly what was needed. I strongly recommend this place.

We’ve been looking forward to dining at Reno Bar & Grill since they opened. We saw many wonderful reviews & pictures. Last night was finally our opportunity to go. There were 3 of us. We walked in to live music, which I always love, & the atmosphere was modern & put together. Our server Reina was very pleasant. I ordered their lemon drop which was very tasty, & the others just went with water. We ordered the sticky ribs, wings, wedge salad, & cajun pasta. If you look at the pictures attached the food presentation is beautiful. My eyes were very excited to try these dishes, but this is where my review falls short. Where was the flavor?? We had to overly salt everything. The sticky ribs, were definitely missing something, they just tasted sweet, almost like a simple syrup reduction. Super disappointed since that was what I was looking fwd to. Maybe I was hoping for the flavors of a Korean sticky rib. My wedge salad was huge & the pork belly was plentiful, the dressing being homemade is also a bonus, but again lacking flavor. I had to put an abundant amount of salt & pepper on the salad to enhance it. Maybe since it want actual salty bacon & pork belly instead it changed the flavor. The wings were good, with a crispy exterior, we did half dry rub & half Louisiana. Onto our last dish the Cajun Pasta. This was filled with plenty of shrimp, chicken, & sausage, but the noodles were beyond al dente (which I love an al dente noodle) the were so toothy that I had to send this dish back so that the noodles could be cooked more. They were very accommodating with this request. Once the dish was returned, the noodles were a tad softer, but still very firm. Maybe the noodles for this dish are supposed to be on the harder side, not sure, but I wasn’t going to send it back again. The sauce looked rich & flavorful, we were wanting a bold spice, but after trying it, once again we had to add salt. Once the noodles sat in the hot sauce they did soften some & with adding the salt it was much better. These dishes will be going home with us, so that I can Dr. them up a bit. The ideas are wonderful, the presentation is wonderful, the service was wonderful, the ambiance was wonderful, but something was missing on the flavor.

Holy smokes, everything was fantastic. Staff went above and beyond and every last person was helpful and kind. Our server Hayden was wonderful, and the owner/head chef Shane came out to greet the tables while we were there. We had the blackberry old-fashioned and Negroni and they were very well prepared. as luck would have it, we got a huge halibut collar that exceeded our expectations. The flavor was phenomenal. The fish is cooked to perfection. Also had the pork chop which was prepared on point, so juicy, very hard to find. Asian ribs, soft shell crab tacos, steak frites, and kids pasta were delicious and very fresh dishes, you could taste each ingredient!

We visit Reno a few times a year and were excited to see a popular new restaurant serving cajun food. Service was friendly but a little slow due to being 7:00 on a Saturday. We ordered sticky asian ribs for our appetizer and for mains jambalaya and blackened shrimp with cheesy grits. Our mains showed up in about 30 minutes and was told our appetizer would be ready soon. Jambalaya had some big shrimp and plenty of sausage but was kinda soupy for jambalaya. Once we started serving ourselves some of the jambalaya we discovered it wasn’t soupy, the bowl was full of oil. Flavor wasn’t bad but when you have a cup of oil on the bottom, no thanks. The blackened shrimp were perfectly cooked, many people overcook shrimp, but there is no blackening here. Their idea of blackening is to sauté with no seasoning and but one twist of black pepper after the shrimp have been plated. Cheesy grits were actually pretty good along with the cornbread. About 20 minutes after receiving our mains we told the waitress to her surprise to cancel our appetizer, she didn’t realize that we never received our ribs. Our waitress was very apologetic about the entire situation and even offered for us to take the ribs home at no charge.

To be fair we only saw one meal returned and others appeared to be enjoying their meals. I could have said something about our meals but with both mains being bad, just didn’t see much hope. And maybe we are hard to please after numerous vacations in New Orleans.

We had dinner as a foursome, and it was very memorable even though we hadn’t planned on a Valentine’s dinner. The women got roses, there was a woman playing violin, nice touches. The kitchen had some problems, we tried ordering lasagna but it took half an hour to find out it wasn’t available, and one meal was burnt. However the owner/chef came by and made it right. My Filet mignon was fantastic, and we got some ice cream at the end that was truly spectacular.

So excited to try one of Reno’s up and coming top restaurants. We went there for dinner. My wife and I had the jambalaya, it was amazing! Our friends also loved their dinners. Chef Shane came by to our table to check on our experience, it was first rate. If you haven’t checked this restaurant, put it on your todo list.
