EXTREMELY RECOMMEND this ramen restaurant! They offer a variety of ramen dishes as well as rice dishes and boba . Seating is fast as long as it’s not overly packed already. The prices are extremely reasonable based on the quality of their dishes and the amount. My family and I have been going here for a year and we keep returning just because of their food and services. You MUST experience this place for yourself…

Fuku Ramen on 280 delivers solid comfort food when you’re craving something warm and satisfying. The broth is rich and flavorful, noodles are cooked well, and portions are generous. The menu keeps things focused, which works in their favor, and the food comes out hot and consistent.

Service is casual and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it an easy spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. It’s not trying to be over-the-top or trendy, just dependable ramen done right.

Overall, a good neighborhood ramen spot on 280 that hits the mark when you want something comforting and filling. I’d happily come back.

Listen….. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and added bean sprouts. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you this bowl changed my attitude for the better…think hangry. If you’re on the fence about coming here don’t be, the broth was rich and flavorful and adding the bean sprouts gave it just the right crunch. I’ll definitely be a regular from now on.

High recommended to everybody who loves Ramen and they have options too if you feel like not having ramen… I really recommend their Tonkatsu and Pork Buns.

My friends and I have tried every ramen place in Birmingham, this place is our go to favorite! We can not recommend this place enough! The ratio of ramen to broth to toppings is amazing! We have been going for almost 2 years now! We recommend the folded buns and the Tonkatsu Ramen with the pork cutlet (we get the cutlet on the side so it stays crunchy)! Both dine in and take out and great!

Love the Steamed Buns!! They are amazing, and the chili oil at the table is delicious!! Had the Takoyaki and the batter was undercooked and runny and the octopus was like rubber bullets, we took it home for the dog, you have been warned… Also had the Black Garlic Ramen which was very flavorful, the broth was very rich but the noodles were a little overcooked for my taste. The Cashu Don was good as well but not amazing. I would come back just for the steamed buns, they really are so good! Service is fast and the restaurant is very clean.

Picked up lunch for the first time today to take to work for me and coworkers. Service was great, quick and polite. Food was ready exactly when I requested it be (I ordered 30 minutes before my pickup time, and the server who took my order made sure to tell the kitchen not to start it right away so it was fresh when I picked up) and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced for the quantity and everything was great. Will definitely be back!

Delicious food, friendly staff. Nice quiet place on a Thursday evening. We had the pork belly tonkatsu and vegetarian ramen, and both were delicious!

This place is definitely the best ramen spot we’ve been in AL so far.
Then why is my review 3 stars?
First of all, my review is 3 stars that’s ever so close to being 4 stars. More like 7 out of 10.
Second of all, I’m sorry but it’ll take me a knockout ramen to give anyone a 5 star review on any ramen restaurants including ones I visited in Tokyo and elsewhere else in Japan.
I make my own ramen from scratch I’m not saying that my ramen is the best but I’ve been making it for a while and I know little bit about ramen.
This place has pretty decent ramen – I had Miso Ramen and our son had spicy Miso Ramen. Noodles had nice body (Koshi) to them and they were cooked pretty nicely (softer side of Al Dente) but had Kansui (soda) smell to them. Maybe because they were originally frozen and didn’t cook evenly?
Soup had pretty good Miso flavor but lacked in strong stock flavors. Couldn’t tell if it was Torigara (chicken stock) or Tonkotsu (pork bone flavor). Or maybe, Niboshi (dried sardines). I just wish it had little more savory flavors (Umami).
Aji tamago (egg) was little over cooked for my taste and didn’t have much of flavor.
But Chashu (pork belly) was pretty good.
We also had Gyoza which was pretty decent.
I think if they can improve on those things that I mentioned, they can produce really good ramen. This place definitely has potential and I’ll be back again since it’s very close to our house.
