Reviews
The food was delicious and service attentive but not overpowering!
Generous Christmas baileys offered at the end of our meal.
We have come here for years and loved previous owners but they’ve passed it onto safe hands!
A great restaurant with great food and great staff!
Honestly, I felt quite sad. Binoy Restaurant doesn’t feel the same anymore; it’s not the Binoy I used to know. There were only four other people dining — just two more than our group — and the atmosphere was very quiet. The food was alright, not the best, but still enjoyable. However, the place itself felt very different, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit strange and uneasy.
I don’t mean to sound rude, but I think the new owner might lack experience in running a restaurant. I used to own a restaurant about ten years ago before moving to Windsor, so I understand how challenging it can be. My advice to the new owner would be to be more open and friendly with customers, help them feel comfortable, and avoid giving off awkward or distant vibes.
Sorry I might be too harsh But that’s what I feel please try to improve it and I wan to see improvement in my next dining next month cheers
Terrible service experience:
We opted for collection, but were shocked to find that no chutney or sauce was provided with the samosas. When we asked, the staff said it would cost extra. Seriously? At £4.50 for just 2 tiny samosas, you can’t even include basic chutney? These are barely snack-sized, and similar ones cost around 70–80p each at most takeaway shops. We understand this is a restaurant and prices are higher, but basic accompaniments should be a given.
Extremely misleading menu:
We ordered Bombay Chaat expecting the traditional version — crispy chickpeas, yogurt, coriander, pomegranate, etc. Instead, we received a tiny poori with potato curry in a small foil container. No photos or proper descriptions were available on Deliveroo or the restaurant’s own menu, and when we called to question it, they insisted it was clearly described — which it wasn’t. Charged £6.50 and it’s in the starter’s side.
Rude and unhelpful customer service:
When we tried to explain the issue, we were dismissed and spoken to rudely. No apology, no offer to make things right — just defensiveness.
All in all, a rip-off with poor food value and even worse service. Absolutely will not be ordering again, and I’d strongly advise others to avoid this place too.
We only had take-away and it was on time, hot and ready when they said, but the food was very different.
I hope they get better but I’m not sure I’m heading back soon.
I would recommend booking for a Saturday night.
