Bagel seemed on the smaller size, but what it lacked in size it made up for in flavor. The everything bagel was absolutely delicious. Even better is they offer vegan cream cheese (violife). Although I prefer the consistency and flavor of Tofutti vegan cream cheese, the violife was good with the tastiness of the everything bagel seasoning. $4.27 total for the bagel plus vegan cream cheese. Will definitely go again.

Incredible bagel sandwiches. I got the regular Joey on a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and WOW! I could eat this everyday. My husband got the hungry man sub but on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and he was blown away. Best bagel sandwiches we’ve ever had!

My 6th time ordering the Hungry Man sub❤️❤️ it’s truly spectacular. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever ate. I even brought one to my coworker so he could experience this awesome sandwich. Unreal!

I’ve always wanted to try Joey’s Bagels and looked forward to their Asheville store opening! So glad they are closer now and had the lox bagel when I visited. First, it was a large portion and came with a potato salad! I had breakfast and lunch for just about $11. Definitely going back to try others and also get some plain bagels for home

If I could give Joey’s bagels 6 stars I would. Having moved down from the northeast 12 years ago, it’s always been hard to find a good bagel. BOOM! Here comes Joey’s bagels!! You can tell they are traditionally cooked in a kettle, which is the classic New York way. None of that bagel steaming that so many shops do to try and be quicker. Based off of the even roundness, crispy outside, and fluffy inside, you can tell that they’re baked on traditional bagel sticks for an even distribution of heat. Can you tell I’m obsessed with bagels? Thank goodness Joey’s now has an Asheville location. Beforehand I was driving to Hendersonville just for a bagel. They are fast, efficient, and friendly which every bagel shop needs to be. Long live Joey’s!!

I’m excited to see Joey’s Bagel expand to Asheville. The new location is easy to get to, and the bagels are always great! I recommend the bacon, egg, and cheese on a double toasted poppy or sesame bagel. They are located right next to Brugers Bagels, and competition is always good and healthy.

Terrific bagels, great prices, good coffee, what more could you want? The bagels taste wonderfully fresh and there’s a nice selection of cream cheeses and bagel sandwiches. Great fun team behind the counter and kudos to Eddy the baker 🙂

Popped in this morning to get a dozen and a half of bagels and some cream cheese for my staff for a Valentines Day treat, the red bagels were adorable! Everything is so fresh and delicious! We also have a catering order placed for next week. We love Joey’s Bagels! We are so happy to have you in AVL! 🙂

So I have to say I love Joey’s Bagels other location off 26. This location feels and came off poor. The sandwich did not have pastrami piled high. In fact I maybe had 3 slices and some of the bread wasn’t covered with meat or any other toppings. The rye was not grilled at all. It was dry and soggy at the same time. Very poor sandwich construction. The saurkraut was sparse as was the dressing. It was one of the worst Rubens I’ve ever had over my 48 years. The interior is terrible and almost institutional feeling. The building was cold even with the two space heaters. The bathroom looked thrown together more than the front of house. The paper towel dispenser still had construction materials on top of it. Some bathroom components were rusted and dirty. The table I sat at had it’s top almost come off when I leaned on it. I run a business and I just can’t wrap my head around how anyone thinks that this impression will drive return customers. If you’re going to compete with a bagel shop less than 200 feet away your going to have to do better.

Only place in town to get authentic NY Style bagels – so happy they opened a location in Asheville! Family owned, delicious bagels, support local. Give them a little grace on timing, they just opened! Iced hazelnut coffee hits just right too : )
